What's this "Jon needed a weekend away."? Shouldn't he be there for his kids birthday. I know he was at the party from all the p people pictures. I wonder if that means they aren't living together?

Actually, Jon does show up for their birthday party that is photographed and actually Kate was away on their actual birthday, I think.

Kate just said that one of the kids called her the babysitter's name instead of hers. That is sad. She admits she's away alot and it's more like work.

Maybe they both need to work outside the home. Maybe they both need that to feel complete. There's nothing wrong with that. Plenty of families have both parents working and everything goes fine.

To me it's obvious that Jon hates the limelight and has for awhile, but there is no way Kate is quiting. She needs the limelight and has convinced herself that this is the best for her children.

they're happy, healthy, safe, and loved .. she's good. there's nothing else to say.

Kate is working really hard to justify her own actions.

Probibly because I distictly remember Jon saying that and I don't remember Kate saying anything about Hannah's headaches.

oh well....she said it for sure in one of the new house episodes.

WEll, their house is surely decorated to the hilt... I am sure it was all free for them. With Kate being away soo much doubt she had much to do with the deocrating!!!

I haven't watched it yet, but if I were here I would have hired a decorator to do it. I was born without the home decor gene, so if I had the money I would pay someone to do it.

I never leave my kids like that. I am a stay at home mom and would never be away from them like that. It took lots of fertlity treatments and years and years of waiting for my babies... I want to be with my kids not have someone else raise them for me.....

Yup. She's trying to prove herself to the likes of, well, most of you. She's doing the same things my mom would do if she was in the same situation.

I parent all day, every day. Kate is parenting when it's convenient in her work schedule. Pretty significant different, IMO.

I haven't commented before on this thread or the previous ones. I have just lurked and read almost all of it. I am now watching and OMG! John seems medicated or something and Kate is well, Kate. It's all about her. Kate just told the kids that paparazzi are following them and then says "boy, if your 5 yr. old knows about the paparazzi they must have been following them awhile." Duh...you just told them and I'm sure you have before. This is sad for the kids and ridiculous for the adults and should really STOP!

Ditto here~Seriously, these are not parents.....these two are idiots...this should be about their family, and instead it is about "this show". They stopped caring about these children or their family a long time ago imo That they are using their marital problems to boost ratings for their show speaks volumes Those poor kids

I know. The babysitter obviously spends more time with the kids than their mom. I bet they miss her.

I have to agree....the first time my kids called me my nanny's name it hurt so badly but to see them with her it's great and I know I need to work outside the home....it's a sacrafice.
