Could she allow him to speak for one minute?
As long as SHE IS LOVING what's she's doing....

I do feel bad for Jon......he's very broken.

Off topic....what's with the hair & bad spray tan?

I just wanted her to be quiet and let him speak. Wasn't it just this past Labor day when she was the one crying beacuse life just wasn't "simple" anymore?
I wondered when the commercials started for tonight if maybe they would be taking more of a hiatus.

It looked like an Anne Taylor store.:confused3

I don't know. I could't figure out where she was.
I almost fell over when she talked about how much she loves shopping. Jon practically had to drag her to the store when they had their "day out", then he picked everything out for her.......My how things change

I didn't see her at the game, but she was interviewed and I think got a haircut earlier in the episode.

Duh, I forgot about that part! :sad2:

It was probably because for once Cara got the attention, always seems to me that Maddie claims all the attention in things and Cara is just there in the background.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing. I remember the episode where Jon dragged her shopping so he could dress her. She admitted she had no fashion sense and that Jon picked out her stuff. Times have changed.

That was kooky! She didn't seem to care that Jon totally wants to quit doing the show and take care of his family. She kept saying she's happy...

- did Mady speak one word in either episode?
-did you see Mady's face when one of the little kids was saying Jon was at his Mom's? She wasn't buying it.
-why were the kids calling their grandmother "his mom"? odd.
-Kate's "shopping trip" oy vay
-The haircuts? Hannah wasn't allowed to cut hers much. Wonder why she has headaches? Cara's hair is always in her face...come on Kate really.
- the Allstate commercial ( subtle). Jon, "I had to do some work before we left, look at the Allstate website." huh?
-I'm sure the Globetrotters appreciate being called "stupid funny."
- did Kate say "culturing" her kids is important to her?

I didn't understand the end of the set thing. I thought they were doing couch interviews at the new house in a new area. Kate went on and on about the chair being the real problem! I thought Jon looked so sad, I felt very voyeuristic watching the end of the show. I didn't like it. I felt for him. He looked totally invalidated. I hope they all end up okay. He doesn't have to be Jon and Kate plus eight, I think you can (eventually) go back. Just quit doing the show. Jon suggested it; Kate's silence spoke volumes.

Does anyone know what Store Kate was saying was her favorite to shop in for herself???

I felt bad for Jon. He just looked very defeated. Maybe they should stop filming for awhile to help find or remember who they are.......Kate didn't seem like the filming would stop anytime soon.
I think that you are right.
They could go back. After not filming. Eventually life wouldn't be as crazy as it is now, and after time he wouldn't be as recognisible(sp) in public.

I think, maybe, John needs to stop working at home. My husband loves us all to pieces but come Monday he's sometimes ready to go back to work.

Also, I think the 2 of them need to go away for a long weekend. NO CAMERAS!!! just sometime to find "them" again. Then a family vacation to, again, find "them" again - or maybe just find "THEM".

I love this show and I'd hate to see them break up over it.

Kate needs to wake up and realize that her marriage is suffering. She's willing to compromise her family because she loves what she does. Can't she still do speaking engagements and write books without having cameras shoved in her children's faces? Does it have to be all or nothing?

That's why I didn't remember her, she said little if anything.

Not too odd, I don't think the kids have had much contact with her. My cousins kids were they same with my aunt, she had very little to do with the kids and they didn't refer to her as grandma, always as Dad's mom.

The new area is just a corner of the unfinished part of the basement, looks like they are getting a new interview area.

That is what I thought at first to but that is my favorite store and the stores around here at least do not have the stuff stacked like that on the walls.....Was it a Banna Repulic Store????!!!!!!

Bingo.

Neither Kate nor Jon got a terribly favorable edit tonight in the couch interview. Jon looked beat down, and Kate mowed over nearly every thing he said. they were not together on that couch.

And here's the thing. They COULD stop this from escalating further. They could stop filming the show as an episodic series .. go to the yearly updates. They would still be well-known, but they could have a shot at normal. Jon said they couldn't go back (which I found rather poignant in the way he said it) and he's right, they can't. People will know who they are. They will always attract attention simply because they're a large, beautiful family. But they can stop the show, stop the series.

I'm really curious about the trip to Florida a few weeks ago. If that was a personal trip, or filming for season 5. I guess we won't know that for a little while... but, I'll definitely be watching to see how it plays out.

I feel bad for Jon. I just want to remind Kate that money isn't everything.......

I agree, but how easy would it be to stop at this point and still treat all 8 kids and themselves to the opportunities that they have been given thus far? If the show stops, the major outings more than likely will become more sparse, and Kate won't get her chances to "culturize" the children as much as she'd like to.

I do feel for Jon though. He knows where he is, and wants to try to do something to change it, whereas his partner would like to continue how things are. I hope he works things out to a point where he's at least OK with where his life has gotten to. Otherwise, it's going to be a long couple of years until the kids are deemed "not cute enough" to get themselves ratings, or until they run out of outings to keep each episode varied from the next.

I agree. They can stop the show and focus on their beautiful family not to mention each other. My heart about broke for Jon tonight...he looked sad, tired and worn out. I cringed when he said he was doing some work before the Globetrotter's game...he was just looking at an Allstate website. The whole thing makes me sad because I've grown to care about those little cute kids. How could you not, seeing them week after week.

What trip to Florida are you talking about??

I think one reason the babysitter is not on T.V. is because if they put her on T.V. for to many hours then they would have to pay her and it would be another Aunt Jodi situation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't see her at the game, but she was interviewed and I think got a haircut earlier in the episode.

I'm pretty sure I saw her at the game, but I agree, she wasn't in the show or mentioned nearly as much as usual.

Well, Jon would have to get a job first-right now his only job is the show/their lives.

I felt bad for him in this episode.

Mady was at the game-my dd pointed her out because she felt bad for Mady that Cara got to participate in the Globetrotters' show. We also saw Mady backstage with the players.

These last 2 episodes seemed forced to me. I am so tired of seeing them go somewhere, get special treatment, and act like everyone does this kind of stuff. There is way too much editing I think, and I never know what to believe... These kids need the cameras off, Jon and Kate need to focus on the family, hang out at home, have game night, bake together, sit around and watch TV, something that isn't so "staged", TLC is obviously running out of ideas because every episode seems so similar...and seems to be more like an extended commercial than anything else.
