I saw the pics of jon with some girls in a bar. He looked like he had a few drinks in him. They said he went to a party at their college and was kissing necks and perhaps lips. WOW! I really hate to hear this. This is one couple I thought could make it through a reality show. I can't believe their house is 1.3 mil. I wondered why they stayed in that small home, TLC must pay pretty good. The Roloff's are also making out pretty good. I wonder if it is the money that puts a wedge in the relationship or is it the filming? Boy I hope both couples can work things through.

We watch the show but if they turn this marriage rumor thing into some sort of publicity stunt then we're done. If they want to talk about it and address it that's fine but if it was done or allowed to be thought of as true just for publicity then that is just awful.

Ok last nights show...is anyone else getting sick and tired of them getting all this special treatment, like the Sesame Street "box" they had to put everyone while the show was going on? Thats not reality, cmon seriously. I would have loved to see Kate do this on her own, but have them sit like all of us, in regular seats, not getting free food ( you know she was well taken care of). I know, I know, they all want the publicity and no matter what, she's going to get all the free stuff. I'm just getting plain sick of it, and I just roll my eyes, its getting kind of boring. Ya know?

I missed Monday nites show, can someone tell me
what happened, I am assuming this was the time he took Cara
to Utah to go skiing. And, didn't he buy himself a condo there?

Seriously????? I can tell you that if I paid $$$ for my family to go to that show and a mom showed up with 7 children (6 of them under 5) in tow and sat near me with no help I would NOT have been happy. No matter how well behaved your kids are, that is asking a lot of one person (even two) to control.

I would imagine even if they weren't famous, it would be next to impossible to do outings like that without special treatment. Since they are famous, it is a safety issue as well. Even if the kids do get to sit in a luxury box and get some special treatment, I am glad that they are getting to experience some of these things and make these special memories. The kids can't help that their parents have them on TV or that they have 7 siblings.

ETA: And their seats weren't that great anyway in the luxury box, they were pretty far from the stage. I think it was more about containment.

You would think that Kate would want help when taking them on outings. It is sad that she doesn't have any friends or family that would go with her to see Sesame Street live.

I'm dead serious. My point here is, if you truly want to portray what its like having a big family, then do it like all of us do, with no help and no freebies. Tell us what it cost you to feed everyone at a show like that. Show us what its really like to take along that many kids and the struggles you face. I'm sick of everything being handed to her, its just too easy and SO not real. None of us can relate. THAT gets boring to me.

Maybe they need Dr. Phil! LOL Can you imagine Kate letting Dr. Phil tell her she needs to be nicer to Jon?? :rotfl2:

You have it backwards, she has alienated any family or friends who in the past would have loved to gone with them. Past episodes had Beth and Aunt Jodie joining them on outings like this but since she has risen to Queen of the Harpies, they no longer are around.

I totally get what you are saying, but I don't think that is the point of the show anymore. It was when the started doing the specials back when the kids were babies. But when they went to a series, the focus of the series changed. In the voiceover they clearly say, this is OUR life. It is their reality. Not yours, or mine, or anyone elses.

And there are things we all can relate to, wheter they get special treatment, or freebies, etc. Just in last nights episode, who hasn't had a homesick kid, or had a child have a meltdown in the middle of a parking lot? There are plenty of realities in the show that everyone can relate to.

I can understand her want to be able to take the kids by herself. I am sure it is like a milestone. She also said that this was the first time she felt she was capable of taking them by herself.
I felt bad for her and can only imagine the pure panic in wondering how to get all the sleeping kids in from the van.

Okay, I am starting to piece this together. I think Jon snapped and moved out. That is why we see him alone taking care of the kids while Kate is away, then alone with Cara skiing, why kate was happy to have all the kids under one roof again (Jon not living there, but taking one of her "flock" away for a while). Why Jon was seen partying it up.

My guess is they are separated but are hiding it from the public.

I agree about them looking disconnected. At the end Kate kept saying about having her family together when Cara came back from vacation. She kept repeating it over and over, strange I thought. Kate is traveling all the time so I wouldn't see the big deal about Cara going away with her Dad :confused3 .

I agree with you Jillpie. Does every event with them have to first class?
It seems like every place they go includes a skybox, free food, a private meet and greet and goodie bags.

Well, as much as I hate the direction the show has taken, I still have to watch and still enjoy it. I will always cringe tho, when they get all this special treatment, I really hate it. When they say its OUR life now, it just feels like its a life where they are handed everything on a golden platter. Yes, we can relate to some of the things they go thru, but not a whole lot anymore. I'll still watch tho:thumbsup2 .

That is what I meant to say...

You know, now that I think about it, I agree. I certainly wouldn't want to be the family that's sitting next to 7 kids with only 1 parent, and yes I agree the seats weren't that good; they were very far away from the stage. We once sat in a box like that for a show, and really I didn't like it. My DS got bored quickly, because you couldn't see as well, it was really just for the containment of my then 1 year old. I can totally see why it would be best for them, in that situation; it's the convenience. Honestly, it really doesn't bother me.

No, I don't know...I thought it was a wonderful idea to put them in the box since it was just her and that many kids. Much safer for the kids. Free food?? I saw them eating popcorn, hardly a 5 course meal.

If I were Kate I would like to know that I could do it by myself.

Seriously, I pull a horse trailer and every time I back it up by myself or get out of a tight spot by myself, I feel a sense of accomplishment that I did it by myself. Not exactly the same, but close enough.

They were a million miles away from the stage...you call that first class?

Doesn't bother me either...made the event safer for the kids...isn't that what people are screaming about...the exploitation and safety of the kids. They were much safer in that box than milling around with one parent in that crowd.

How are these kids going to be when they grow up and they don't receive the royal treatment when they go out?

Probably, but with the latest comments from Jon,
I have a feeling he is back.
I think he took a stand and left to make Kate realize what is going on.

Remember in the beginning of February, Kate was making appearances with just the kids. The Morning Show and Access Holllywood.
Mady made a comment that she liked her dad more,
and Kate gave her the evil eye.
Then Mady said, "someone needed a spanking"
and Kate gave her the evil eye again.
Kate probably wants to prove to everyone she can do
it alone now.
But I wonder if the kids are along when she is doing these church outings.

How are these kids going to be when they grow up and they don't receive the royal treatment when they go out?

They will be like all the other incredibly spoiled children in this nation. My girls have been everywhere, vacations, the theater, incredible seats at baseball games, flown first class..and much much more.....I don't see the Gosselin kids doing anything so special that my kids probably haven't done something like it, minus the cameras.
