Jon and Kate Plus 8 official Thread, Part 2!!

Here's what I don't get:

I went over to the other site, GWOP today to pass some time away. People talk about getting ill watching the show. If it makes you so sick why watch it? If they hate them so much shut them off. Last night was the first time I watched the show in a long while and I only caught 20 minutes of it and it made me curious to see what was being said about them.

I really don't get it.

I haven't been over there in some time, but last night when I was watching I actually thought of them. When the question came up about whether they would buy the kids cars when they were older, Kate said something like, "they can work and earn their own money to buy a car if they want one." I just thought right away that the GWOP crew would be all over that one.

I am so curious now that Jon has mentioned that they have 2 dogs if they are the little lab puppies that are in the commercial.

this might have already been discussed, but i thought their answer to the more kids/adoption question was weird. i mean kate's answer was pretty clear about having no more kids and that "eight was enough" , but jon said "i don't know. we don't know what's going on." i just thought he'd be a little more adamant i guess.

they've sort of flip flopped on the idea of another child .. Kate has said that she won't get pregnant again. But, they've gone on the record saying that adoption is a possibility. Having said that, Jon & Kate's answers aren't always consistent ... that makes it hard to keep up. LOL.

I used to ready GWoP regularly, for a few months right after they started the blog. At the time, I had no idea there were message boards all over the internet about the Gosselins, so it was my only source of information. At first, I found it terribly fascinating - just like Jon & Kate Plus 8. Now I find both boring and predictable. The blog is all a bunch of blah, blah, hate Kate, blah .. and the show is what it is. I read Gosselins Do Not Need Our Pity more often than GWoP, but even that isn't much these days.

I never have understood why people are on such an excessive witch hunt about Kate. I'm sure the obvious answer is greed .. but I'm not so sure. It seems deeper than that. About someone they don't know. I'm not a fan of things Kate does .. but, geez, I don't know her. And I certainly don't get ill watching the show. Not really. I might say, "that makes me sick" but I don't run straight to the bathroom to throw up or anything. People are weird.

I agree. Either that or I am watching an entirely different show. Kate was never (other than her belly pre-tummy tuck) flabby or pudgy as far as I was concerned.

ITA! Although, I don't blame her for having a tummy tuck. I was watching the episode where she pulled down her girdle, and that was frightening. I mean, for having six babies at once I don't doubt there would be some leftover skin. I was just shocked b/c she always looked so good.

I think she looks even better now. I can't believe she's given birth to eight kids!

She definitely wasn't overweight, but you can tell she looks thinner, more toned maybe? I noticed it, as I pointed out earlier, more in her face. It's more angular now.

I agree. She used to have a much rounder face.

Yes she has lost wieght but that doesn't mean she was flabby or pudgy before.

I don't think she was, either, but it's all in the eye of the beholder. What's average to you may be heavy to someone else.

I definitely think she's much more toned now. So to me, she was flabby before. Her upper arms and thighs, specifically.

I don't blame Kate for wanting to clean something, or use the time wisely
but couldn't she relax and explore the house with the kids.
4 hours to clean a refrigerator. That was a long time.

I think when Kate gets into her obsessive cleaning spree, the compulsion to be way to perfect comes through. She got caught being mean again to Jon and the kids, i.e. calling Jon into the house to wipe someone's butt, seriously. Plus, when a refrigerator is not in use, it will grow some mold inside, especially if the door doesn't get open and fresh air can get in and circulate.

Did anyone else hear a camera or a producer say, "wow what stinks" when they were near one of the bathrooms?

The house looks gorgeous. If the fridge was that gross I probably would have just bought a new. But it did look like it was a Sub Zero. Those are great cuz they are huge and they are big bucks so I guess I would have scrubbed the heck out of it too.
