It's a reverse mullet!!
Party in the front, business in the back.

It's a reverse mullet!!
If you watch LPBW, Mike is the friend of the family that also coaches the boys' soccer teams. He was the guy that was injured by the trebuce during the pumpkin season. He died a few months back, but they are finally up to that episode. I'm not sure that I would want my family members death on TV but hopefully they will do it more as a tribute. In the commercial, they show Amy going to the hospital, so I expect it to be a highly emotional two episodes. Sorry for getting off J&KI have a comment about the St. Jude Hospital for Jon and Kate PLus 8,
but who is Mike?
I've said it many times before, but I love Alexis. She is the cutest thing. Did you see that anti GWoP site. They had a blurb about Gymboree making an aldergator purse (in honor of Alexis???)
Honestly, I don't care if Jon and Kate purchased the gifts themselves. I don't care that they "only donated a dollar" and I don't care that they went all the way to Memphis to do their charity work. They did something good for a very worthy cause and they put smiles on the faces of people that probably appreciate some little positives in their lives. If it did nothing else, it brought more attention to the St. Judes hospital. Hopefully they are receiving more donations today because people saw J&K there last night. Can't criticize that.
I read the first few comments on the GWOP site and they are so deranged over there....
Kate made a comment how St. Jude's was the closest children's hospital for them. If they drove, it had to be at least a 8-10 hour drive. Then I saw the van they had. It was the same one they used when they were in NYC.
My dh made the comment, "maybe they are like Nascar Drivers", they fly to their destination, but all their equipment is driven to their location."

That hotel that the Gosselins stayed at was the same one the Duggars stayed at on Mother's Day. Michelle was honorary duck master that day.
Mady seemed very "pleasant" this episode.

CHOP is in Philadelphia. Much closer than St. Jude's.
The thing I found strange about the episode is that she said "When we found out we were going to St. Jude's..." What did she mean by that? Shouldn't she have said "When we decided to go to St. Jude's..."
My cousin was a patient at St. Jude's so it is close to my heart.

I doubt they chose to go to St. Jude's. Now, I don't mean that in a bashy way. I really don't (see my thoughts on the episode. I thought it was mostly good) But, I'd say that the show was set up - that either the St. Jude people approached TLC/Figure 8 or vice versa. I believe that's how the show works these days. Not bad or good. That's just the way it is.
I didn't think she said it was the closest children's hospital, I think she said something like it's the closest hospital that does what they do, meaning they pay for everything and they don't charge the families a dime.Kate made a comment how St. Jude's was the closest children's hospital for them. I have never posted here but really enjoy reading everyone's view on the show. I just have a quick question that maybe was talked about already so I apologize if it was. Does Kate wear any type of retainer or have braces or something? Facially she seems different to me in the more recent shows and I can't figure it out but it seems to be her mouth? Am I crazy? I know this isn't anything big but I was just curious.
Thanks!
The thing I am not liking is the blatant plugs. You know what the commercials are going to be by what they are talking about on the show. As soon as they sat around with their Despereaux book and stuffed animal I knew what was coming. I still watch, but I miss the show that did not seem like a long commercial. I hope they are socking away the money because generally the cuteness factor of kids wear off and that is the only reason I am still watching.
