madge...me too! especially that they have to stop to "get used" to the time change...lol!i know it sucks...but oh well!
getting used to the time change![]()
good Lord.
and not everyone gets their dream wedding and can somehow manage to have a normal, productive life. last time I checked, it's about the marriage, not the wedding.
I didn't get that they were upset about not getting married in Hawa'ii. Just that they wanted to and were now getting the chance. And maybe we'll get to see some of Jon's family??
I thought the beginning was sweet. Then again, I'm a total romantic...![]()
Are we really ragging on Jon & Kate for wanting to stop and get used to the time change? With 8 kids, 6 of them being so young, I think I would do the same thing!
And yes, it's about the marriage, but who wouldn't love to have their dream wedding? To me, it didn't sound like Kate was complaining about not having it, just talking about how they would have loved to get married in Hawaii.
Seems like we're just looking for things to complain about now.
By the way, I enjoyed this episode a lot. I loved all the talk about their wedding and renewing their vows. It showed a side of Jon & Kate we don't get to see much.
they weren't. Kate was. She didn't get the wedding she wanted, she always thought about the wedding she didn't get ... because she settled for something her family could attend.
more damage control, too. Kate loving on the boys, Jon sitting with the girls. Non-matchy clothes. Very nice to see, but total damage control. LOL.
some of us take notes and complain about everything
well, not exactly everything ... but a lot.![]()
You've been over on GWoP too much!!! Now you don't think Kate loves the boys, either!!
Why didn't you focus on the fact that Kate settled so her family could attend?
I didn't get complaining. I know a lot of girls who think about their dream wedding after being married. A wedding is a huge thing tons of girls dream of their entire lives. Yes, the marriage is important, but, come on, who doesn't want to be the princess of her ceremony in the locale of her dreams. I can usually see where the "other side" is coming from, but not on this one. Sorry!![]()
no worries! It's not a secret that I'm a tough cookie where the show is concerned.![]()
Believe it or not, I have read very little at GWoP lately. It's all the same, regurgitated info over and over again. Bah. I have been reading at the other blog - the do not need our pity one. But it's the same stuff over and over, too. But one of the things that's mentioned over and over on websites far and wide is the gender separation (is that the right word I'm looking for?) with the boy and girl septuplets. That's been going on for a long time.
I did mention Kate settling for the sake of her family. I definitely sensed resentment there. It was clear to me that the wedding she had wasn't what she wanted. I did think it was interesting there were very few pictures of their family wedding, unless they were shown in the last 7 or 8 minutes of the show .. my DVR box froze up.![]()
In the end, it makes no difference about the reason for the vow renewal. They were invited by the resort and it was turned into an episode. I'm sure it will be a lovely event!
I meant that it wasnice
of her to settle so her family could/would attend. She could have easily said, "Well, we're going to get married in Hawa'ii. Be there or not," especially since some of Jon's family is there.
I know I've seen video/pics in previous episodes and/or specials. I don't have them transcribed like some of our internet friends.![]()
I was done, and then I came back after a while ... I can leave again, if y'all would like ...Oh, Madge, I thought you were done with us. It's an addiction, really. At least it's calmed down since the summer. I remember checking the DIS all the time during summer vacation.![]()
Do any of you watch "The Soup"?
Did any of you watch it last Friday Oct 24?
Bwwahaha
If not I will explain![]()
oh - I totally misread that. sorry!! sometimes the internet is hard to understand. I hate that.
but, you're right - and I have to say, seeing some of Kate's attitude through the seasons, I'm a little surprised that she didn't put her foot down and insist the wedding happen in Hawaii, family or no.
there are still several episodes I've not seen - like the Valentine's Day one tonight? It was new to me as well.
