so am I understanding that JK8 is getting more publicity these days?

a little storm knocked out my power for 6 days .. renewed publicity would explain why my blog traffic is up

they're so yesterday, Jon & Kate .. don't they know there's a woman with octuplets, surrounded by even more drama?

This interview morning just kept getting worse. Why were the kids even there? Props? What is wrong with Kate's eyes? I feel bad for her, this must be humiliating. She's on Larry King tonight. Why's she getting all the press over the octuplets?

OK. I didn't necessarily find Kate terrible... but I was so distracted by the children, I couldn't really focus on what Kate was saying. And good LORD. My 7 year old could sit quietly for a 3 minute interview, especially if she's been exposed to it as much as Mady & Cara has.

It looks like it may have been a series of interviews on that particular day. Haven't watched the CNN one to see if it's the same set up.

I've just heard tiny bits and pieces about the new octuplets. She's single?? Single and fourteen children. Oh my gosh!

Ice Storm! the power went out sometime around midnight on Wednesday and it came back on this morning around 9:30am. 129 hours without power ..

did you all get hit, too?

After 4 hours of cleaning the fridg, did they get a new one? Or did they take off the wood pannelling? Those sub zeros are BIG $$$$. Hope Kate had a coupon for that! I wonder if Jon went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond? I always have a stack of coupons for there. I keep a lot of them in my glove box. DH always complains about how many I keep, but if he goes there do you think he takes a couple with him? Nope!

Ok I have to confess....I'm not really a J&K fan at all. The kids are adorable and I really liked the shows in the beginning. I'm just now stumbling on this thread and it's my mission to finish reading it. (you'd think being so far behind in everything else that this wouldn't be on my radar!) I've gotten to page 44 today which is pretty good. Hopefully I'll get through the other 65 or so this week and be caught up with the rest of the world! It's hard trying to keep "reality" and everything else on the internet straight in my brain so hopefully I'll understand it all a bit better by the time I'm done here. I have to say that I DVR'd the moving episode just because part of me is curious to see how much yelling Kate will do during the move and how you move 10 people. I moved 4 1,000 miles a year ago and it was crazy - I can't imagine 10!

Alright...need to take a break from the computer for sure. My head's killing me - I guess I need new glasses!

Hi. I was just also going to mention that brand new huge fridge. After 4 hours of cleaning out the old one.
How far away did they move from thier old house? I know that they had to drive the young ones an hour to pre-school, What about now?

Nope, the storm stayed south of Wisconsin. Sorry, you didn't have electricity, that had to be tough.
But we have been living with the cold, snow, and ice since November.

it's been an incredible winter, for sure!

we were lucky - while 90% of my county lost power, our main retail center did not, so we were able to get water and necessities. My family is blessed with good friends.. the ones who had power took very good care of us until a room at a local hotel became available.

it was much, much worse about 30 miles southwest of here. they're telling those people it may be a month before they have power.

We didn't get it nearly as bad as we did last year. I had my own + 8 to deal with last January because every member of my family in this state (and we're in a good 100 mile radius) lost power and sent their children to my house.

Because they wouldn't have fit through doorways, probably the moving truck and would have been a pain to carry up the stairs.

I thought tonight's episode was sweet. I liked the reminiscing!! DS3 is enthralled when the kids are on. He laughed and laughed when Joel said "I fall every day."

Oh! And when Kate was making fun of Jon saying "Sh-sh-shower" or whatever, he turned around and said it verbatim, and he's been saying "Sh-sh-sh" a la Kate all night.

She was pretty darn mellow considering.

I loved the coupon argument. The Budget Boarders would be proud!!

Oh, and I guess because it is in a wooden frame. Ours is just the mattresses on the metal frame and didn't seem like such a big deal to move.
