I agree with Kate being really harsh with last nites show.
It makes you wonder how "scripted" the other shows have been lately.
It seems this one was planned, yet it was not their normal day activities,
so it raised the stress level for everyone.
Like Christmas Day, that kind of excitement.

I agree about the mold in the refrigerator,
but couldn't Kate have done it a different day?
She should have been with the family, exploring
all the different areas of the house with the kids and
everything outside.

I am betting that this show was taped last October.
The kids are all in Fall color clothes
and they were all outside without coats on,
so it couldn't have been too cold out.

My mom had a rule, that we were never allowed in my parents bedroom.
I remember when I was in 2nd grade, we moved to a different home,
and that was the first time I saw my parents room.
I wondered what the big secret was, that we could never be in her room.
I am starting to realize that my mom is a lot like Kate.
My mom is not a very happy person,
she is a compulsive cleaner
and it took a lot of effort on her part to have fun.
I don't remember my mom being very happy when I grew up.
She still is an unhappy person.

I still wish they would do a "Wife Swap" with Mrs. Duggar or Mrs. Roloff. I think it's a splendid idea.

Are you serious? :confused3 Mrs. Duggar doesn't do anything, her girls do it all. I was watching the Duggar episode before Josh's wedding and The Duggar parents were having fits because the girls were in Florida helping Josh and Anna and they had to omg TAKE CARE OF THE LITTLE ONES THEMSELVES!! It was mentioned many times during the show about how the girls had to hurry up and get home so they could take care of the kids.

I know mold is serious and needs to be taken care of, but 4 hours on 1/2 of a refridgerator is a bit much. I am sure that fridge could have been thoroughly clean within 2 hours.

Really? That is just unbelievable. I'm all about kids needing to do more and having to give up some material things in a big family doesn't kill a kid but that doesn't include slave labor!

I'd say the Duggars will have at least a few kids who can't wait to get away from them and don't want any kids. I'd say J & K might have that happen too.

:rotfl2: Kate swapped with Mrs. Roloff - OMG now there's one heck of a messy house! I'm no clean freak, but it's rare that my house looks as bad as the Roloff place - and they keep adding on! Just to spread the mess out I guess! Kate would stroke out as she walked in the front door.

BTW I do enjoy watching Little People Big World. And John & Kate Plus Eight...and 18 Kids & Counting....

I saw her close the door of the fridge just before she left the house.. I sure hope the electric is on - and the fridge is on - because if it isn't, guess what she's going to find when she goes back to the house? Mold again..:rotfl:

Every year when I leave the lake in Oct/Nov., I have to make sure I prop open the doors of the fridge and the freezer because I turn off the electricity until I go back in the spring.. If I didn't do that, I'd be cleaning mold every single year..

 I thought that, too!! I'm guessing at that point, they were at the new house semi-regularly getting everything ready. :laundy:

I personally believe their will be long term repercussions from their show and that the kids have some behavioral issues with hurting each other. I don't think it is normal for siblings to contantly hit each other.

Also, the hate coming out of Kate's mouth during the whole master bedroom scene was so cold and harsh to me. I can't imagine my parents telling me that I was never allowed in their room or ever saying that to my daughter when she was young. Plus going on and on about how Mommy and Daddy need their privacy, ugh! So unnecessary!

I hope they are happy in their new home but it is pretty obvious that Kate will never ever really be "happy", I just don't think it is in her psyche to be.

Just my opinion,

MsA

I agree 100%.. Those kids are going to need therapy before they ever even get out of elementary school.. :sad2:

I have never had a problem with the Roloff's big additions because it is their house and they have had it for years, I understand their desire to add space to a home they love.

Jon and Kate on the other hand have let their cable show and semi-celebrity status completely go to their heads, in my opinion.
This statement can also apply to the Roloffs. There are more product placements in LPBW. The worst was the pool table ad during the episode where Mike died. That was tacky. And who do you think paid for all those additions to the house? TLC. They are just as bad as Jon and Kate and even the Duggars. All of the famillies on TLC have reaped the benefits of being on TV and the celebrity status that goes with it.

I completely forgot this.
Did you see the big Plasma tv that was built into a cabinet?
It must have been to difficult to move for the sellers.
I wonder if they will get rid of it.
Plasma tv's are so hard to see.

Was that the last show of the season?

They want it, but don't need it. It might lessen the stress of so many people in a small area

I said the same thing..what? 8, maybe 9 pages back now??? And people just about had a fit. ;)
I can't imagine having a house so big you need walkietalkies or a PA system of some sort just to keep track of everyone. Sheesh.

I also think that spending FOUR HOURS on only 1/2 of a fridge is a bit excessive. An hour, hour and a half..I can see that. But FOUR HOURS? What is she doing? Cleaning every single little crack and crevice with her toothbrush?:confused3

The part that REALLY got me yelling at the TV though was her speech about how the kids are NEVER EVER EVER allowed in her bedroom that seems to be bigger than my living room. I can get she doesn't want a lot of toys, clothes etc in there but to NEVER EVER allow your kids in your bedroom? WTH?:confused3

A PP mentioned that it's not 'normal' behavior for siblings to hit each other. Maybe not where you're from, but around here we hit, slap, kick and throw things at each other all the time. It was not uncommon when I was in HS for my brother (who is 6 years younger than me) to come in the room my sister and I shared and throw shoes at us to wake us up.:rotfl:

I haven't watched it yet, but she gave Hannah her own room?! I thought it was going to be Alexis (she wakes early). If it was Hannah, that's definite favoritism! I think she's definitley coddled.

Isn't it Alexis who slept alone in the basement? I don't have a problem with that, but it would have made more sense to me to give her the single room, since they have already separated them. It does make you wonder.

Now for the master bedroom issue....it really rubbed me the wrong way that the children are not allowed to step foot in there! Do you think there is any way they could hear a child who needs help from in there with the door closed and the kids upstairs? I assume their door will be closed since kate mentioned that they may knock but may not open the door. These are very young children, and it seems very off to me they aren't allowed to ever go in a room in their house. They probably should have left this little tidbit out of the show, b/c it casts the parents in a very bad light IMO. I can understand they may not play in there but to say they will never set foot in there again, while yelling and threatening severe punishmnent is over the edge!

She was using a toothpick. Yes, she had a toothpick cleaning out the grooves.

Not a toothbrush but I swear at some point she was on her knees w/ either a q-tip or toothpick. It definately wasn't a cleaning utensil unless you count ears lol. Can someone confirm?

I thought I saw her poking around in there with SOMETHING although I couldn't tell what it was. I know at one point, I think I said Kate needed to stop being so OCD which led DS to ask me what OCD meant.:rotfl2:

If she's THAT bad about the fridge...I can't WAIT to see her mucking out the stalls in their barn. :rotfl2:
