So I don't have to read the 22 pages I am behind on...can someone fill me in on any new houses/move information?

It seems that the next couple of episodes aren't all that exciting. This week the soup making, next week the kids go to the dentist again, then another viewer questions type one. I bet they are saving the moving episode for February sweeps.

oooh. I bet you're right!!

my Monday night JK8 watching is over, anyway. The new season of The Bachelor starts tonight! :happytv:

tonight (January 5) is a new JK8.

trying to save time and money, Kate plans to make lots of soup to freeze for the upcoming winter season, but the day doesn't quite go as she expected.

save money.... right  perpetuating the farce that Kate Gosselin is just like most moms in America. Hopefully, there will be some footage with the kids to make it entertaining.

I wonder which house this episode was filmed in? I'm guessing the old one, since there hasn't been a moving episode.

I have to just ask if you personally know any really wealthy people? Please do not take this the wrong way because I really mean no offense. I ask because I am not wealthy but have family members that are millionaires and know a few very rich people. They are all very cheap!LOL Really, they cut coupons, some drive old clunker cars, they cut corners where ever possible. My one cousin who is a millionaire went to work at a CVS just to get medical benefits cause she didn't want to pay for them! She can well afford them for herself.(about $1200 a month was what she told my mom) Anyway my point is just because you have money doesn't mean you have to be frivolous and not try to save where/when you can. You can have money and still be like the average mom and make food in advance, clip coupons, etc... I know J&K have money and make a good living off the show but with both of them not working and the show being their job they have to know someday soon it will all end. I would imagine they are trying to save every penny for the future expenses like college for 8 kids.

I have to say I am more of a lurker on this thread and have only posted a few times. I love reading all the opinions but it drives me crazy when people assume wealthy people can't be frugal.

I love the show and the family and will continue to watch every Monday.

Of course wealthy people are frugal. How do you think they got that wealthy? They're usually so tight they squeak when they walk. LOL

But, I do not necessarily consider Jon & Kate Gosselin to be wealthy ... not yet. I consider them to have a lot of money. A lot of money they've earned in a short amount of time. They will settle into their big-house lifestyle and become wealthy, but right now, I see them in between their old selves and their new selves. Kind of like winners of the lottery.

I'm watching the Fiesta Bowl, J&K will have to wait until tomorrow!!

GO BUCKS!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

"1, 2, 3.... We're moving!"

Little Kids: Yay!

Mady and Kara: Give parents questioning looks.

I thought it was a fun episode, though a bit boring. Can't believe they made soup last for 30 minutes, LOL! How bout the stove, though, huh?

I'll be excited when the moving episodes start!

I think Mady and Cara, being older, had a reason to sort of question the move. Remember that they were looking at houses before and even told which bedroom would be theirs (in the Going South episodes). From this episode it seems that none of the kids have seen the house prior. I don't think they weren't excited, I think they just wanted to know that it was "real" this time.

I only caught a few minutes.

Kate made a comment that the little kids didn't understand what a move was.
She said, one of the little one's asked if they were moving the doors.

The kids will have new room and it sounds like they are going to be split up a little more.

I missed the comment Kate made about which house she truly loved. Was it this house, or the first home they lived in.

I'm guessing the one she truly loves is her new, $1.3 million house. ;)

I thought it was a cute episode and I learned that you shouldn't put a metal lid on a hot stove top!!

I thought this episode was a snooze. Kate and Jon didn't help, they looked bored to death in the chair.

I am a little behind in my J&K. Where is the house they are moving to? PA? down south?

That was one boring episode! Note to Jon and Kate: If you want viewers to keep watching your show, don't act annoyed like we are some unwanted houseguests that popped by for a visit.

The only thing that made me even remotely smile is when Kate told Alexis that in the new house, she will get her own room because she is a "disturber." I don't know what Alexis said exactly but it was something like, "Yup, I wake people up."

Hope next week is better.
