I got tickets to Jollywood Nights the first day they went on sale. I primarily got them for the Nightmare Before Christmas show. I looked at the website tonight to see what time the event starts and I noticed it no longer mentions Nightmare Before Christmas. It says there will be a sing-along with more details to come later. I am worried the show will no longer be Nightmare themed. Do you think I am worrying for no reason?

I was wondering about this too. At first there was mention of that show where Voyage of the Little Mermaid was, but same thing when I tried to confirm those details were gone.

I'm not sure it has changed. They still list the same things and places as before ... There has been more conversation regarding the event since the announcement but I don't think the website has ever changed.

THIS IS WHAT IS ON WEBSITE -
Disney Website
  • Tune in to a musical variety show with special guests Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy at Theater of the Stars—with special appearances from Princess Tiana, Belle and more.
  • Join in the fun during a spirited sing-along experience at Hyperion Theater. More details to come!
  • Wrap up the festivities and enjoy the return of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!—a seasonal nighttime spectacular that’s jam-packed with music, special effects and dazzling state-of-the-art projections.

THIS IS WHAT WAS ANNOUNCED MONTHS AGO -
Disney Parks Blog
  • You’ll be welcomed to Disney Jollywood Nights with a DJ spinning a mix of holiday tunes. Commissary Lane comes to life with a lively Latin Street Fair. Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will be very special guests at Theater of the Stars along with some of their Disney friends. And … what’s this? Hyperion Theater will host a spirited sing-along – more details to come.
  • Encounter glitz and glamor galore at two limited-capacity entertainment experiences – a jazz lounge at The Hollywood Brown Derby and an other-worldly soiree at The Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard.
  • Wrap up the night and enjoy the return of a festive favorite, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” This Santa-sized nighttime spectacular is jam-packed with music, fireworks, special effects and dazzling state-of-the-art projections.
Other than it doesn't say "what's this" it is the same description.

NOW MY CONCERN and why I'm not going to an event that is "made for us" during a time we are there .... I crunched the numbers of show times, theater size and likely crowd size. Not everyone will see one show let alone two. I don't want to spend my night in lines for shows for the price of the tickets. I've been to an event at DHS and was so bad they refunded our tickets. I'll see how this turns out and if they repeat next year, maybe. Fingers crossed it is a huge success for those going.

Thanks for the response! I do have similar concerns about a new event. I guess I just wanted to see Jack Skellkngton that badly! I feel like there was a picture of him on the website when the details were first announced. Maybe I imagined that!

I know many blog site said in July that Disney had announced Jack Sally Oogie with the show and they posted photos as well, but I can't find anywhere a post from Disney.

If you get to meet Jack & Sally they are a great meet & greet. We've also met Sandy Claws, also good. First time we met J&S it was their first appearance at MNSSHP. We arrived early and waited hours but worth it.

I guess that I'm the odd one - I hope that it is NOT nightmare before Christmas themed. I want to do Christmas in DHS though. I used to love seeing the Osbourne family lights there. Maybe if it is a show, then I could just avoid that? Will rides be open with potentially shorter lines, do you think?

I wish that they gave more details.....

I am actually more concerned about going to the first night and not knowing what to prioritize if Disney is a bit too coy about the information.
