Is it horrible??

I just booked a room with them, went and read some reviews and i saw nothing but horrible reviews... ugh!!!

its guna be about 250.00 for 2 nights there and i dont wanna stay in a crappy hotel!!!

someone help!

You left 'some' little details. How soon are you going, what time of year, how big a room, where did you read your reviews? I'm 95% sure you could have gotten something across Harbor for the 'same' or maybe less.:confused3

Is it horrible??

In a word...YES! Avoid at all costs!

(Had a room theft there back in 2001 and management did backflips to 'protect' their reputation. Were no help at all. )

I've stayed in some dives before but Jolly Roger is one of the few where I will NEVER return!

Does that $250 include park hoppers or is that just the room? If its just the room, you can get much better for less.

ok well im going to cancel that reservation right now then...

so can i get some advice.. hahaha

im going to be at disneyland the 16th-18th. i want to stay at a good neighbor hotel, something kinda cheap, but i do not want a trashy hotel..

And everything seems to be extra expensive right now..
I feel like pulling my hair out!!!

AHHHHHH!!!!

help?
lol

You can book the Candy cane for $297- including tax. That is a little more then the Jolly Roger was, but it includes breakfast which helps. Its a nice little motel- clean, close, with a great shuttle to the park ( it is about a 10 minute walk if you would rather). www.candycaneinn.net

Hojo's can be booked for $250 including the tax- directly with the hojo's site. www.howardjohnson.com Might be able to get a better deal if you call Willie and tell him you are a member of mouseplanet or laughing place (might want to join one of those boards so youare lying to him LOL).

I didnt check any online places like expedia or travelocity, but you can probably get a good deal that way as well.

We're staying there in 2 weeks and it gets good reviews. If you go to mousesavers.com you will see a link you can use to get a discount on the HOJO.

HoJo's is great! You won't be sorry for booking there, but request a quiet room and remember the walk is about ten minutes or so but when you're coming back from Disneyland and your feet hurt the walk seems forever. But you can take use of the shuttle that goes from the hotel to the park. It costs three dollars a day. The hotel is really quite nice.

We really enjoyed HOJO's in Sept. 05, I would go back if I found another great rate. We are going to DLH in May to use up DVC points, otherwise I would have checked HOJO's first. We only paid $30/night through Delta after they gave us a hotel option when we bought our airline tix, and our friends paid about $50/night with the Entertainment book discount. We LOVED the location, the rooms were decent, etc.

We liked the Tropicana. It's clean and close and everyone's nice. We stayed there two summers in a row, and will stay there again.
