Hi,

Is it worth it to join the AA to save on a disney hotel cost, if so how do you book the hotel to get the discount.

We plan on staying at disney next year for our last week and I'm sure I read you can do that.

Any help will be gladly received.

Thank you.

I think so. The AA basic membership is reasonable and if you are going for a week you can make up that money easily.

We also booked the Segway tour with the discount and you can use it at the Swan and Dolphin restaurants.

I checked rates on the aaa website too but we can't book there.

Thank you, can you please tell me which aaa website please so I can have a look.

Sounds like a good idea.

go into the savings in USA link and enter the relevant details.

Given the on-line price for the most basic AA cover is £34.40 then it's not difficult to get your money back.

If your have an rpoints.com account (everyone should:lmao: ) they give £10.00 cashback for any AA membership. So actual cost for year £24.40.
(Quidco pay £10 also) Oh I love rpoints:rotfl:

Now I have found out that you can book on the AAA website direct, so good luck.

This is the site I used to check prices. I believe they are regional in the US, so there will be others I guess.

Though I found Dreams Unlimited did all the work for me!!

Just be aware of the disclaimer at the bottom of the page on the above website

"AAA Auto Club South is proud to serve AAA Members and residents of Florida, Georgia, Middle & West Tennessee, and Puerto Rico. If you reside outside these areas please visit www.aaa.com. "

I'm not sure you can actually book on this website unless you are a AAA member, the aaa.com website does point you to the international affiliates page.

I'm not saying you can't book but for some discounts it does ask you for your membership number for obvious reasons.
Hotels I think are OK but they do state you need to show your AAA card on check-in, whether anybody actually asks is another thing.

It may be easier to phone CRO in the US and ask if the room you want is available at an AAA rate.

If it is they will book it for you with 1 nights room rate as the deposit. This deposit is fully refundable up to 5 nights before your arrival date.

Thank you everyone. The dates I need aren't available yet, so I'll keep checking, it's seems definately worth it, when do you think it would become available the week we need is 16th - 23rd Oct 2008, also what is CRO is that the disney bookings people and where do I find there number please.
