He was born in Owensboro, KY, actually. He moved to Florida in 1970, when he was about 7 years old.
Sorry, I knew it was a State with a "K" in it! And, YES that Jack looks a lot like our Jack!

Actually, NO he isn't, he just lived here for awhile while a High Schooler, in Miramar to be exact. I believe he was born in Kansas if I am not mistaken. ;)

Kentucky, actually.. ;)

Oh I can't wait to see this show at the end of Sept!!!! Do you think he'll be out and about at MNSSHP????? I can only hope so :teeth:

That would be great to see him at MNSSHP! :thumbsup2
He could probaly walk around the park and know one would really notice. I have a feeling that Pirates will be vary popular this year as a costume. One of my friends is going to dress up as Capt. Jack so I'm sure there will be more.
My husband thought of going as Davy Jones. pirate:

I was joking of course about Johnny Depp playing Capt. Jack. pirate: It would be a weird joke to play, that someone like Johnny Depp would really enjoy, don't you think? :lmao:

BTW, if Johnny Depp was in Florida from age 7 until after high school, he's from Florida, don't you think?

So is the show still going on then?... I thought it was only to run through the end of Aug.?... We go in a week and I really want to get some pics of my own... ;)

OKay all you Pirate fans - question for you: DS4 has never seen POTC, though he's done the WDW ride (it was almost a year ago). But he's very into pirates in general these days. Do you think he'll still enjoy the show? ( I KNOW I will! :teeth: )

My ds who is recently 5 loves both potc. He watches black pearl regularly and talks all the time about dead mans curse. If your child does ok with some of the scary images without it being too scary I say go for it but that just depends on each child.

Thanks! My DS4 is probably far more okay with stuff than I am with him seeing it! (Can you tell he's my first and only?!) I'm tempted to let him see parts of the movie.... but I know he'll want to see all of it and I'm just not sure about some of the "darker" parts. But it sounds like he'll love the show at MK!

I felt the same way as you when I saw him. UNBELIEVABLE!

Wow! Hi Captain!

Dear Santa,

All i want for Christmas is to see the pirate show infront of POTC in October. Please Santa, make this an early xmas.

I want to "shiver his timbers!"

Love, Nurseypoo

If you think this guy is great, you should get a look at the Jack Sparrow at Disneyland!!! He's got Depp's swagger, and you have to do a double-take, because you'd swear it was really Depp. I just came back from there, and believe me, people were walking into walls thinking it was really him. The third time I saw Jack Sparrow, it was a different one,--not quite as remarkable, but the first one was a dead ringer! Sorry, I have no pictures to prove it; maybe someone on the Disneyland board will post. Wow, I was impressed! Disneyland now has a show right outside Pirates, and there are musician pirates who sing and entertain the crowds. If you're wearing gold, they get very, very interested in you. They're also running crazy on the ship Columbia that sails in the park.

I saw the quick skit and yes, I was amazed by the guy's resemblance to Depp! Even when I was only two feet from him, the similarity was dead-on! Makes me wonder if they cloned him!

So Pirate Gear to get noticed by that Captain Jack Sparrow...

We're doing MNSSHP this year and going as pirates. I know, EVERYONE will be a pirate this year but we also go to our local renaissance fair every year and dress up. I usually dress as a lady pirate-for MNSSHP, I am going as "Mrs Jack Sparrow" :rotfl: :goodvibes
