Johnny Depp look-a-like WOW!

I appologize if what i am about to say has been said in a previous post but I did not have time to read them all.

We saw this as well at MK on Sat. they pick a few kids to play along and do sword fights. A cm told us that there is no posing for pictures with JD look alike. the only pictures you can take are during the show. I suggested to the cm a pirate charecter dinner for boys. He told me that they are doing a pirate and princess party nights in Jan and feb 2007. They are to be similiar to the MVMCP and MNSSHP. Ticketed party nights. JD look alike will be a big part of this party and then pictures will be possible with him.

There are at least two different pirate crews appearing. We saw the show in its entirety once and passing by a second time. The first time, my DS got in the show and the guy was the dead ringer whose picture is posted earlier. The second time, we passed by and the Johnny Depp imitator was not nearly so good, and his assistant was different too. One crew was MUCH better than the other. And DS thought for sure he was the "real" Johnny Depp and argued with me when I told him he wasn't.

This was our experience as well. We saw the show with the one who looked just liked Johnny Depp. The next day we saw the other guy (perhaps there are more than 2) and he did not have the mannerisms and voice down nearly as well. Actor #1 talked to me a few times as part of the "show." My DD thought it was pretty funny. Try to stand in the front and you can get a good view!
Edited to add that he might speak to you if you are wearing a pirate medallion necklace! He did to a teenager in the show we watched.

GREAT! Thank you for sharing! We'll be cruising on the Wonder 4 day cruise on the DVC cruise the end of October.

I hope we run into him!! That would be GREAT!

It's actually The Flying Dutchman Ghost Ship, Davy Jones' ship from POTC 2. It is very cool in person, you can see people in the woodwork and faces on the cannon holes. Here is a photo:

You can not board the ship however, though I sure wish you could! But it's not far from the beach and you'll get a good view from the walkway.

Overall we love DCL, my only complaint was it was too short...lol. We have done two cruises on the Wonder and our next will be the Magic or a longer Wonder cruise(aka special cruises). The service is a+ and of course the shows and entertainment are excellent, it's Disney!

Actually, NO he isn't, he just lived here for awhile while a High Schooler, in Miramar to be exact. I believe he was born in Kansas if I am not mistaken.
