Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow on POTC?

OK I've probably read one too many things on the Internet lately--I read that Johnny Depp gets bored and for a laugh when he is at Disneyland dresses up like Jack Sparrow and hangs out on POTC--anybody know if this is true or is it just a rumor?

From what I read you have to look for four Jack Sparrows in the ride instead of the normal three

I've heard this, too. I counted the Jack Sparrows when we were there a couple of weeks ago but alas! Only 3... Lol!

Wasn't exactly Johnny Depp level, but a couple of years ago we were riding Pirates with a friend who was visiting us from Florida. A guy from the shirt up was dressed as Captain Sparrow was sitting in the back row, and we kept telling her to look behind her as Captain Sparrow was in our boat and she refused to believe until she got out of the boat and saw him leaving. Was pretty funny watching her get mad and ask why we didn't tell her.

I don't think Johnny Depp has done that for quite a few years. The only time I heard of it actually happening was right after Capt. Jack was included on the ride.

As a side-note, did Jack Sparrow ever appear in the well where Carlos usually is? I feel like at some point there was a Jack there and it's really bothering me.

haha I've never heard this before! I have heard about Arnold Schwarzenegger dressed in his Terminator costume walking around Hollywood.

Johnny Depp has gotten dressed up as Capt Jack more then a few times while not in a movie. I know he did it when one of his kids was really sick as a thank you to the hospital that basically saved his kids life. Hes done it more then once I believe and I wouldn't be surprised if he is at POTC frequently.

JD has stated that he canNOT go to DL for family trips because it ruins the good time for his family. From that I got the concept that he just doesn't go except for work. Though maybe now that his kids are older, he goes. But I somehow doubt it.

If you have the DVDs of the first two POTC movies, watch the special features on them.... (bet the second one is what started the rumors)

I highly doubt he'd ever do this and if he did it'd be all over tv and TMZ. Believe me, i'd LOVE it if he did though!!

I've heard tons of stories about him visiting kids who are sick, underprivileged, or victims of something. Supposedly he carries around his costume when he travels so he can make impromptu visits to children's hospitals and the like. He was just at one in Australia a few days ago.

Not sure if he travels with his costume. For this visit he was taking a break from filming the fifth Pirates movie.
