John Williams, Josh Groban and the Boston Symphony Orchestra...a concert

I surprised Norah with tickets to Tanglewood and this concert for her birthday. I wanted to have some mother/daughter time together before she leaves for college.

It was film night and John Williams conducted some of his great film scores...Amistad, Harry Potter, Catch Me if You Can, Star Wars, 1996 Olympics Call of the Champions, E.T. and a very funny 1938 Bugs Bunny cartoon called "Baton Bunny".

Then Josh Groban came out and sang 5 songs with the orchestra and one with John Williams at the piano.

An excellent concert!

Oh, I bet that was a wonderful evening...FL is a great place to live but when I hear of events like this it makes me miss Calif. when we would go to the Hollywood Bowl for the evening....we saw John Williams do basically the same show *movie* night they showed clips of the movies up on the big screen on a beautiful evening under the stars!

I love Josh Grobans voice....did he sing The Prayer? I just love his version of the song with Charlotte Church..

Nope, he didn't sing "To Where you Are" or "The Prayer".

But he did sing Alla luce del sol, Vincent, Cinema Paradiso, Gira con me and A Love Affair to Remember accompanied by John williams on piano..that was a real treat.
He also sang one other, can't remember though.
