Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004, won't make a second bid for the White House, sources said. (CNN)

He's unelectable IMO.

no, I am kind of relieved - didn't like his campaign last time....much better candidates are in the game this time...
I agree with this. This is one of the strongest fields in a long time. For example, Bill Richardson is a great candidate and he is at best only running 4th right now. I am still hopeful that Al Gore will run but will support John Edwards otherwise. It doesn't surprise me one bit. The democratic field is just to strong.

), he is a great candidate. He may be running 4th right now, but it's still early. Look at Kerry in the last election, wasn't he running behind for a while as well? I could be wrong with this, but I think people are tired of seeing the same names, and as such, I think Richardson could ultimately be a very strong contender. If he doesn't make it past the primaries, look for him to be a V.P. candidate. He was in Congress for 14 years, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. and had his interests in foreign relations. So he know's what he's doing on the international stage. You and I both agree about Gov. Richardson (whoa, my head was spinning there for a bit), he is a great candidate.
