But that's how Jon/Kate started out. So in a couple years, if there's enough interest in one/some of those families, we might see a TV show about them, too. And once a popular TV show starts, normal life ends and you end up in a $$ situation like Jon/Kate.
Do you say things like "the car needs washed" instead of "the car needs to be washed"? If so, you might also have an accent, LOL.
I like the show, basically. Even before I found out that Jon is half Korean like my hubby, we identified with them. Hubby gets that same blank face, even when we were new, and it starts making me a bit nutty so I get a more stern face as I try to figure out what's going on behind the blank face. Our friends have the same issue when hubby and I are chatting as people do when watching Jon/Kate; we have been accused of arguing SO many times when we're actually getting along quite fabulously. My maid of honor almost STARTED two fights between us, in the two days before our wedding, because she kept "intervening" to "stop" an argument that wasn't even happening, and we had to force ourselves to remember that we weren't having problems, but SHE sure was!
When people react like that to us, it makes us closer, b/c when the world doesn't understand your dynamic, well, you just have to get closer. We still don't understand why our friends refuse to believe us, but we've actually dropped some people b/c they made us miserable, and the people who are still in our lives are the good ones!
I get stressed enough with my one son...I cannot even imagine having so many.
And while the brief thing about the ice cream sounds awful, when you actually read the whole thing of what happened, I personally can totally understand her being so unhappy. If someone handed DS an ice cream, even a safe no corn syrup ice cream (you'd be surprised at the ingredients!), right before a picture moment I would have a serious issue, too. On a normal day, normal moment, I don't really care. At farmer's markets this summer I kept getting nasty looks and comments about oxyclean from women because I let DS eat cherries while wearing a white shirt, or other things like that. But before a nice picture? Nope, not calm about that.
The way Kate was with the ice cream is how she is always shown on the show. Even at home she doesn't let the kids get very messy. It's ridiculous.

I pronounce "hour" and "our" exactly the same. "Are", "or", and the letter "R" sound nothing like our/hour.
