The phone rings and the ID says "Unknown" well that means a telemarketer so I said answer it silly,

So he says "helllooooooooooo" draws it out real silly.....the lady says "Is someone 18 or older there?"

John-Cole says "Helloooooooo" really silly again and she says
"Can I speak to your mom or dad?"

John-Cole waits a minute and says..."I like chicken ......(pause)......do you?" LONG PAUSE and she hangs up.

I was in the floor laughing! Thats my son!!

Thats cute!! I'll have to remember that one.

I usually try to confuse them, like if they are selling me new windows, I tell them I dont have any. Or for kitchen cabinets, I tell them I dont have a kitchen. It gets them every time!!

I love it!!:teeth: :teeth:

Gotta teach my two something like that. Those telemarketers are sooo annoying:(

I reckon you've got one great kid there Beauty;)

This is why I am so glad my state has a "no call" list. We very, very ,very rarely get any calls anymore. Our AG aggressively goes after those companies that do not pay attention to the list. I think the the fine is like $5000 per violation or something along those lines. We receive newsletters quarterly telling us what companies are in violation and how much they had to pay.

That's hysterical! My son does things like that. Once he told one of them he would go get a parent, he put the phone down on the counter, left the room and returned 5 minutes later. Needless to say, they had hung up. ;)

Before my oldest went off to college she use to handle them when they called. One of my favorites: They would ask if her parents were home, she would tell them no. They would then ask when do you expect them home. She would go into this big crying act and tell them she didn't think her parents were going to return at all! They would always hang up.
:p

Great idea Nancy679

Next time MCI, ATT or Sprint calls, I will tell them I do not have a telephone.

LOL, I love playing with telemarketers!

It sounds like a page from my playbook! :)

I got so many calls in one day, I began to answer them in really silly and hillarious ways. I love doing that. I get the greatest satisfaction. hehehehe :smooth:

I also tell MCI Sprint AT&T etc that we don't have a phone....

I told someone selling siding once that my husband built our first house and he was so darn handy that we didn't need ANY of their services, I went on and on and on about how clever he was.... :teeth:

of having my 4 yo tell them that mommy can't come to the phone 'cause the aliens took her:teeth:

:p

We receive calls from telemarkets all the time at work and I have learned that when there is a pause it is a telemarketer on the phone so I hang up before they have a chance to say something. And if I get them they ask for my boss, they are put on hold and could sit there for several minutes. By the time he gets to them they are long gone.

I like the idea of telling them I don't have what they are calling for. Next time I will tell MCI that I don't have a phone.

good one:)

I actually sang Veggietales silly songs to scare off a couple and for some reason "Blame Canada" from the South Park movie works just as good

She would go into this big crying act and tell them she didn't think her parents were going to return at all! They would always hang up.

Oh he will love this one!!! He loves to watch the Stever Harvey show in the afternoons and he said he was going to tell them his name was "Levita Alazay Jaykin" just the way she says it...LOL! I told him they probably would still try to sell him things, the goofy things work best.

I actually tried to pass myself off as Cartman and it worked
