Johanna's Journey ...plain and simple. Comments welcome!

That's what I am calling today. Atleast in terms of WW. I have been so bad for the last few...well, years. I am keeping my short term goal simple...to stay OP till next Thursday. Today was good. I had:

Fage and fruit-2pts
Bean and cheese burrito-5 pts
Sweet potato with SF maple syrup-3 pts
Bite of whoopie pie(small)-2 pts
Chicken salad with LF cheese, FF dressing, croutons-7 pts
Fiber one bar-2pts
Fiber 1 onion rings-4pts
Sports Beans-2pts
Total:27 pts (I get 28)

The only reason I ate the Sports Beans was because I was planning on going for a run. Then the skies opened up. And I mean opened up. So, I never got out for my run. I am pretty bummed about that. I have been running 3x a week following C25K. Now that I have completed the program, I wanted to up it to 4x. But, I haven't run for three nights now. So, I am getting up early to go tomorrow before work.

Welp, I obviously haven't been posting my journals daily. But, I did go to WW this morning. I am down 3.6 lbs, brining me to a total of 19.6!! I am so close to 20lbs! I really want to reach it next week, but I am really nervous. We are leaving for our camp in Syracuse on Friday till the following Tuesday. I am nervous about staying on track while camping and being at the family reunion. I plan to still get my running in while out there, but I have never been able to stay on plan in this type of situation before, so it will be a real challenge for me!

Johanna...CONGRATS on the weigh in!!!

And great job with your 5K and completing to C25K...you are doing AWESOME!!!

Woo Hoo on your almost 20 pounds! You're doing so very well with your weight loss and running. And it sounds like you're committed to WW weigh-ins and tracking, too.

I'm sure your Syracuse camp/family reunion/trip went well, and was lots of fun. I hope you were able to keep on track with both eating and running. It's kind of tough to juggle all those things, isn't it? Even if you didn't do as well as you'd like--I never do in those situations--remember that you're building a good overall base of fitness and nutrition. A couple of off days isn't that important in the overall scope of things. (And I'm sure you did fine, really. I'm projecting.)

How did your 5K go? (Did that happen yet?) Are you going to post a RR here or on the Events/Competition thread?

Hey there! Yay on your weigh-in!!! 20lbs in a huge accomplishment!

Stacie

Congrats on your 5K--and yay for signing up for another one almost immediately! I think that speaks to just how well your race went! :woohoo:

Just checking in to say "Hi" and seeing how the running and WW is going! :cheer2:

Thanks, Debra! I didn't realize quite how long it had been since I posed in my journal...and you just reminded me I am way behind on a couple other threads, too!

Running is ok. I can't decide what to do....keep working the 5k distance and try to improve my speed, or add distance and worry about speed later. I definately at some point want to increase distance...I want to do the Beach to Beacon 10K next August...but its still a year away. Decisions, decisions...

WW is going pretty good, too. As of last week I was down 22 lbs and only 2 lbs from my 10%! Pretty exciting. I am hoping to reach that 10% on Friday when I weigh in...

Life is hectic...I am in a wedding on Saturday, so I have a busy weekend. My kids go back to school 4 weeks from tomorrow...I can't believe the summer is gone already!
