Day 2, Oct. 26

Since we ended up talking for hours rather than going to bed early as planned, we chose to sleep in on Tuesday morning instead of dragging ourselves to a park in the morning. Instead, we finally got up around 9:30 and called room service to bring us a $20 pot of coffee, a $12 grapefruit for H and a $14 bagel for me. OK, I'm exaggerating slightly. The room service prices aren't really all that horrible. But, I'm not sure how H keeps the acid from all the coffee and grapefruit from eating holes in her digestive tract.

Eventually, since the weather was so perfect, we got ourselves together and dragged down to the pool. We would up staying several hours—until about 2. It was nice to relax and not feel pressured to attack the parks.

After we showered and H did the necessary grooming, we decided to walk over to the studios and see if we could catch a few attractions. Star Tours wasn't busy, so we rode that. I used to really like it, but it doesn't thrill me too much these days. We were in the back row, so maybe that had something to do with it. Also, H's feet don't quite touch the floor, so she slides around more than she'd like.

We went over to the Great Movie Ride next and got the gangster side. We enjoyed it, other than the fact that H practically had to sit in my lap because there were too many people crammed in the row (and the lady next to her was taking up a larger than average amount of space). I don't get why they do that when the lines aren't long, but then they might leave a whole car empty. Oh, well

Since it looked like ToT and RnRC were more crowded, we decided to leave them for another day. It was past 5 and we were getting hungry, so we decided to head toward the exit. On the way, we stopped to see if we could set up a PS somewhere in EPCOT. We both like the atmosphere at San Angel Inn, and the food is fine, so we got a PS for 6:30 pm. In retrospect, we probably should've just gone on in, but we weren't sure.

We took our time wandering over to EPCOT. It's a very pleasant walk. On our way through the WS, we looked around a little bit in the UK. There was still plenty of time once we reached Mexico, so we rode El Rio del Tiempo and checked out some of the merchandise.

Even though we were a few minutes early for our PS, they seated us immediately. I had the Plato Mexicano, which was pretty good. H had Mole Poblano and she thought it was very good. I tried it and would agree. Neither of us could finish our food. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and our CM did a great job.

We thought we'd go ahead and stay for IllumiNations, but we didn't want to hold down a bench for an hour and a half. So, we just strolled around the WS, taking time to stop in some of the places we didn't make it around to the previous night. We made a mental note to partake of the F&W offerings at least once. We've sort of given up alcohol, but the food looked interesting.

For IllumiNations, H actually did sit on my lap. A nice lady moved over so H could sit. It wouldn't have bothered me to stand, but she needed me to keep her warm (if it's below 70, she's freezing). She usually brings a sweater, but she forgot. She was fine while we were walking around, but I will admit it can get chilly by the lagoon.

After the fireworks, we let the crowd thin out a little bit before starting to walk back. Fortunately, it usually looks like a lot more people head for the main entrance/exit than for the International Gateway.

We weren't really tired, so we drove over to PI and caught a Comedy Warehouse show. It was funny, as always. We went in the Adventurer's Club for a while and decided to forego another CW show.

I didn't get around to finishing the day's trip report, since we crashed when we got back to BWI. It was a great day and we felt fortunate that the weather was so nice.

My DH and I like how slow ya'll take on WDW. We are the same way. We love to be able to enjoy just being there and looking around; as well, as just enjoying eachothers company. Great report...thanks!

I'm really enjoying your trip report. I'm going now to read day three... :D
