Weigh In - 217

We were at the shore for the weekend. I had some pizza on saturday, quite a few alcoholic drink mixes, and a couple slip ups on sunday too. Our weekend shore trips are coming to an end and I did not feel bad about my cheats. I enjoyed myself.:D


This week was our second checkin for the ONDERland by Christmas Challenge. I started the challenge at 219 so I am at least moving in the right direction.;)
Challenge Stats for me - 219/217/199



9:00am - Coffee w/SF Davinci Toffee Syrup
water w/lemon in the AM

1:00pm - HM Protein Shake [chocolate mint]
metamucil, multi vitamin, flaxseed oil tab, coral calcium

A couple diet rites during the day
6:30pm - HM Protein Shake [chocolate mint]

8:00pm - cup of herbal hot tea



 
On monday I had decided to try a semi-fast. I had the protein shakes, vitamins and fluids. It actually felt good to have an entire day that I didn't have to think about what I was going to eat. Amazingly I wasn't really hungry until towards evening but my cup of hot herbal tea satisfied me. I think I might continue to do this one or two days a week. I even managed to prepare lunch for my DH and dinner for my family and sat with them at the table while they ate.;) And I dropped 3 pounds as a bonus!

1:30pm - Large Salad w/parmesan peppercorn dressing

5:30pm - Yogurt

8:00pm - Yogurt and hot tea

11:00am - chicken cheesesteak [no roll]

12:30pm - 1/2 apple w/cinnamon

2:30pm - piece of chip steak w/cheese


 
Hi Jody!! I just wanted to check in with you! You and that scale are still battling it out, I see. Your menus look pretty good - maybe you're due for a visit from the whoosh fairy soon???

The weather is lovely, so don't forget to go outside and move a bit. That always helps move my scale!

Swiss miss diet hot chocolate

LOTS of water w/lemon during the day 64+oz.


 
Jody, {{ hugs }} to you, sweetie!! I know you're having a tough time right now, but I hope you won't give up on your journal. This is such a great place to pour out your frustrations and to think out loud, so to speak. You may want to have these notes to look back on later.

8:00am - High Fiber English Muffin w/one egg & slice of cheese

cauliflower & broccoli w/butter

I'll be heading out to the shore this afternoon but will be back posting again on monday. On Monday I will be joining the WISH KISS challenge. KISSing stands for 'Keep it simple sweetie'. Basically I will be eating eggs, non processed meats, and low carb veggies, small amount of fats, sugar free spices, water, decaf tea & decaf coffee. NO dairy, NO processed meats, NO artificial sweetners, etc. You can read the KISS details HERE. . This will be a 2 week challenge that a few WISHers will be following. Hopefully it will give me the jump start that I need.

Good luck with your KISS plan, Jody. If you can follow something as strict as that, you are one tough cookie! Go for it!!!

start of two week KISS challenge

8:30am - Omelet w/ 2 eggs, 1/2c asparagus, Mrs.Dash, and pepper - mug of decaf coffee

11:00am - Romaine Lettuce w/grilled chicken breast, TBSP of chopped onion, Newmans olive oil & vinegar dressing, mrs.dash, and freshly ground pepper.

I'm doing okay so far on day one but I REALLY would love to have some cheese and/or something with splenda. A diet rite soda would taste Oh so good right now.

4:30pm - grilled chicken breast
broccoli & cauliflower w/butter

Weigh In today - 215

10:45am - Omelet w/2 eggs, onion & zuchinni [very YUM]!

2:00pm - apx 5oz of ground beef fried with onions, green & red peppers, & 1/2 of a plum tomatoe.

5:30pm - Bowl of Creamy Broccoli/Cauliflower soup YUM!

I cooked one 16z bag of cauliflower in beef broth until the cauliflower was very soft. Put the cooked cauliflower in a blender and puree until smooth. Add some of the beef broth to get it to the consistancy that you like your soup. Cook a second 16oz bag of veggies [I used broccoli/cauliflower mix] until tender. Drain and pour the puree mixture over the cooked veggie pieces. Season as you choose --- I used some butter, crazy salt and freshly ground pepper. Very Tasty! For a non-KISS meal I would have pureed w/cream cheese and/or topped with some shredded cheddar when serving.

Jody, it looks like your KISS Challenge is going great! You're shrinking!! :bounce: Keep up the great work!!

Thanks for posting how you made your soup yesterday - sounds like something I might have to try! :D

Weigh In Today - 212!

I am just AMAZED at how making such little changes reapes such BIG RESULTS! I've lost 6 pounds in 3 days and I feel fabulous. I am eating eggs, healthy meats, and lots of healthy veggies. I also have thrown in the occasional cream in the coffee and diet soda and I'm doing FINE. I plan to stick to this way of eating - it works! And look what I was able to pick up this morning.....

12:noon - BS chicken breast grilled on my sm. George Foreman. [I had forgotten I even had the thing -- I didn't use it for so long].

5:30pm - 2 chicken legs

I know I didn't get enough of veggies in today. I'll have to be sure to watch that more for future day.

12:noon - Salad w/mixed greens, cucumber slices, onion, 1/2 hard boiled egg sliced and grilled chicken breast. Newmans olive oil & vinegar dressing.

6:30pm - Hamburger w/lettuce, tomatoe, onion, mayo

Started KISS on 9/29 - 218 pounds

10:00am - Omelet [2 eggs, onion, zuchinni]

3:00pm - 1/4 of a grilled chicken breast

6:00pm - Chinese Buffet including salad with a little ranch dressing, crab legs w/ a little butter, steamed shrimp, 2 bites of seafood salad and two bites of garlic chicken/broccoli.

NO - I did not stay KISSing 100% today but I still feel like I've had a succesful day. I really hardly had any quanity of food at all at the buffet. Each thing I had were VERY small amounts. But I was satisfied! I will probably gain in the AM. I usually always do after chinese. But that's okay. I made the choice ahead of time and I'll just drink extra water sunday and get right back on track.
