I am so happy for her! She is one of my favorite actresses and I am proud of her for finally coming out.

Now she really can be in Out's 50 most powerful people! Hopefully her being brave enough to do this, especially with her being such a private person, will inspire others to do the same.

I just hope that people will just not dwell on her being gay. I think it is wonderful that she had the courage to finally come out in public, but it really makes no difference as to the talented actor she is, as to te great mother she is, as to the successful business person she is. She is a great role model for young women everywhere, and for young lesbians, this is a very good thing. But my deepest hope is that someday, no one will give a rats *** as to what sexual orientation a person has, what colour thier skin is, what religious beliefs they hold. Just judge them on the good they do for a people.

Yeah, I guess maybe I didn't care enough to wonder - she's not on my list of actresses I like. but I'm glad she had the courage to come out.
