Last night I had a dream that I was at Travis' house reliving the whole murder, except it was Donavan killing Jodi and at one point, Jodi was at the top of the stair on her hands and knees and Donavan had Jodi's hair and was pulling it back saying "You love the camera! SMILE FOR THE CAMERA JODES!!!" at which point she slashed Jodi's throat.

I don't know...there was more to the dream including a stab wound in the ribs which gave me a clear idea of how the murder happened. Not that I rememberthe "true" events now! As much as Jodi deserves to feel some of the pain she inflicted, it was still a terribly horrific dream that caused me to wake up quite a few times, only to resume where I left off. I've said before that I hope that she gets shanked when she's in prison but after that dream, I'm not sure I want that. An eye for an eye doesn't always work. I think her punishment needs for her to realize that she's a nobody and she's the one who made herself that way and she has chosen every path that she's taken in life. Let her live a life of solitary confinement and have her mind torment her every single day.

Well ... it is a three day weekend ... I could probably make it to both places.

I don't know if I can stand to watch the penalty phase over again, especially if its going to be long. We're having our roof redone next month and after that we're removing about 2000 square feet of brush from our yard.

But mostly I just don't think I can handle another hung jury situation.
And I'm about a week and half behind in my psych class, I blame it on JA.

Can you imagine that ~ bringing in new counsel and all the continuances that would come with that? Jodi seems pretty happy with that jail.

I'm a happy momma today. My DS20 came home from college for the summer. (There goes the rise in my grocery bill LOL) Only for 3 weeks though. He is leaving California June 21st to work at Camp Pontiac in New York through August. Anyone know anything about that camp? He's very excited. I've been doing nothing but laundry today while he's meeting up with old friends at the beach. Sigh.

I've gotten them for Christmas week the week or two leading up to it. People make arrangements and then have a change of plans.

I'm starting to think that maybe the Prosecution should strongly consider offering JA a plea deal for LWOP with stipulations that TA's family can find justice, peace and closure with (i.e., no media interviews ever, no appeals, no contact with the family, gag order, etc.) ... Of course, I don't know if this is even possible to do, but it's just a thought ...

If they can get her to agree to LWOP, then I think they should jump on it. Otherwise, I would go further.

After watching the foreman on GMA, I am thinking he may have been one that voted for life. He said looking at JA it was hard to believe she was a murderer.

BZ: Yeah, that's true. I mean, when I walked into the courtroom the first time and looked at who the defendant was. You know, its hard to put that into prospective. When you look at a young women and think of the crime and then you see the brutality of the crime, it just doesn't wash. So its very difficult to, umm to divest yourself from the personal, the emotional part of it.

ETA: Just looking at her size, it is hard for me to believe she moved the body. But I have seem mighty small women take on some pretty big horses and win the battle. So size isn't everything!

This is what we've said before. If the roles had been reversed, I suspect he wouldn't have had any trouble giving Travis the death penalty. That is soooo wrong.
