On top of everything else, she's a slob. :rolleyes2

Her mattress doesn't even extend the length of her "slab"....not having a real bed will definitely keep me far from jail!!!

I have never heard of so many delays in a trial before. This should have kept going.

You know the only good I see coming out of these delays; Jodi won't have much grounds for appeal. Every ground of appeal they can come up would be denied because the pros can prove that she got a fair trial.

Here are a few things......

1.) Someone filed a Preclude States Penalty Phase Witnesses for Failure To Notice, have no clue what the heck that really means.

2.) I guess Kirk Nurmi came out of the judges chambers and walked out of the court room and left the building.

I didn't think things could get more weird, but every day they prove me wrong.

(I was joking that court never starts on time in my last post)

Wow, those people are really crazy on that site. Of course, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It would take some real fruitcakes to back her to start with, I guess.

And, yes, I suspect her look is calculated as well. It's entirely possible that reality is setting in, but it's more likely that she knows this is nowhere near the end and that this will drag on through the appellate courts so she's just working every angle that she can at this point. Her nerve and gall know no bounds.

Yeah! It almost made me physically ill to read that website. Those people are delusional.

I know, I love things like that. Nice way to have fun. I don't take things personally. I need to beg her forgiveness. Think she'll believe me?:rotfl:

snuz, sounds like a typical filing, for appeal purposes. Preclude (don't allow) States Penalty Phase Witnesses (the Alexander family members) for Failure to Notice ~ is failing to give the DT the complete statement, photos, etc. Hubby told me that in Arizona they have to submit all statements prior to giving them to the court. So, if they said something at the podium, in the heat of the moment, that was not previously submitted, they file this. For appeals. Which is just something the DT has to do.

For instance, notice how the family did not state which sentencing they perferred? "Please, we ask you to put her to death!" They can't talk about the evidence offered in the trial and my guess is when the brother stated they had to watch their brother (reputation) being dragged through the mudd, was a reference to the trial and a statement he added. Did you see JM reading each page along with them? There were some blacked out words, sentences. On a sidebar, there was ONE picture the judge kept. Did not allow in. Wonder what it was.

Hell, I would have said F the appeal process and scream at her!

Nurmi is done with this whole thing. I saw no words exchanged with Hodi and the DT. Maybe two. Nurmi gave his opening today the same way my hubby does the dishes....half ***.

ETA: I didn't understand the motion from the DT to have the statements video taped. Now I understand. Reading a submitted, court approved victim statement while being video taped, is not the same as the wave of emotions at the podium. Nice try DT...didn't work.

Wow, those pics of her cell... makes me happy. My golden retriever's bed is bigger than hers. Nanananananaaaa...and he enjoys real bacon.

Nooooooo!! Jodi drinks my favorite stuff! Sobe Life Water. She has ruined it for me.

:rotfl: She has lots of room for head stands ;)

When is the princess coming? princess:
No later than next weekend! Very soon!! :cool1:

And yeah a convicted murdered is allowed that stuff. That just really makes me :furious::faint::crazy2:

After 2 boys, I was soooo excited for my girl. After all the jeans, trucks and boys stuff....we named her Lacey, the most girly girly name I could think of. And in another 3 years (she's 14) I'm sure she'll love the jeans, trucks and boys stuff. :scared1: So very excited for you.

It's any day now. Besides packing your hospital bag...you HAVE to come here and let us know.

Hoping Baby C comes this weekend! You need to be home by monday to see the circus.
:thumbsup2

Have I mentioned lately how much the DT annoys the hell out of me? Rewatching Nurmi's opening statement on HLN, and he mentioned the friend of Jodi's who would speak on Jodi's behalf, and how they did lose touch AFTER JODI MET TRAVIS. So, that was Travis' fault?? As if he was SO CONTROLLING that she lost this dear friend. And NOT that Jodi was willing to give up everyone she knew (including Darryl, who also testified and the DT emphasized that Jodi changed after she met Travis) because SHE became so obsessed with Travis and what she could have with HIM, and good riddance to everyone else.

UGH!

His comments were really annoying. Does he have to feed the "Arias is never responsible" mantra. That girl doesnt' take responsibility for anything. We all know that if Arias and her friend lost contact, the two people responsible are Arias and her friend. Uggh, that BS is so frustrating.

Don't know how accurate this is but I read on the State vs. JA FB page that the friend has MS and that has something to do with why she doesn't want to appear on camera.

I do find it strange that she was just on television in the past few months regarding this case and now doesn't want to be. But, if it IS related to an illness, I don't blame her.

It could be for health reasons, or as others have stated she doesn't want a lynch mob coming after her.

The more I sit here and think about it, JA probably asked her mother and family members not to speak on her behalf. That further props up the mitigating factor of "no family support". She couldn't claim that if she had 900 people up there saying what a wonderful daughter/sister/niece/cousin she was.

I guess maybe that could be the reason, but Arias' mom has been in court every single day. I think Arias has deep dislike, maybe even hate, towards her family because they didn't provide for her the life she thought she was entitled to.

Yeah, anyone who testifies in this phase can still be cross-examined. So what does her mother say on the stand? That she beat the crap out of her daughter just because she was an abusive mother? Or that the reason she hit Jodi was because Jodi was a miserable uncontrollable nightmare to live with? There's no good place that her testimony can go (IMHO). I think when the DT put forth their case, they did it expecting not to get 1st degree, and therefore, not expecting the mother to even need to take the stand.

On HLN, someone said that Jodi can make a statement, like the Alexander siblings did...stand at the podium and speak to the jury. OR she can go back on the witness stand, which would open her up to cross-examination by JM again? Not sure I got that right. (I half pay attention. )

I agree that there is no good place to go if her mom testified.

I didn't know that JA had a choice between making a statement or testifying. Interesting.... Either way I hope it is short, I've had enough of the JA show.

Just catching some of NG and they're showing clips from today. And I was thinking about Jodi's hair. I wonder if that was a calculated move (isn't everything?) to give the jury a good view of how distraught she is over the pain and suffering of Travis' family. Piece of trash.

Also, I went to the Jodi Arias is Innocent website. Holy cow, those are some sickos over there. As scary as it is to think of all the murderous monsters like Jodi Arias there are out there, it's as frightening that there's slime out there like those on that website. :crazy2:

It really is quite frightening. I get that there may be a few people who believe her domestic violence story, and for some reason are able to ignore all of the other evidence. It doens't make sense to me, but some people only look at things that support their view.

What I find really disturbing is all the hate and vitriol they spew towards the Alexander family. They lost their brother in a cruel and brutal way. That site makes it sound like the Alexanders are all drug addicted meth heads who support pedophilia. It's beyond sick and twisted what they have said about them, and about Travis. They act like JA is a saint.

They were posting about how the Alexander family must not be close because the last time Stephen saw Travis was at Christmas in December. That has nothing to do with being close. I grew up with 5 brothers and a sister, and together we live in four different states. We may not see each other often, but we are very close. I don't know why anyone would think seeing someone in person makes you close.

That site really bashed Stephen and Samantha yesterday. They all should be ashamed of themselves, but they won't. They are just as sick and twisted as Arias.

New info on State vs. JA FB page unconfirmed that she pulled out due to a drug conviction and speculating that shes still on something.

I dont believe the MS thing, she may have MS but unless she is in a wheelchair I wouldnt see a reason to not want to be on camera.

I see what your saying, but allot of other people on WS were talking about it as someone not showing up. But what do I know.:rotfl: But I am tired of this judge allowing the defense side to be rude and tell the victims side what they can and can not do. But they also said that one of the witnesses on their side they would not show their face on camera and now want to have it taped and not have them shown. They said it had everything to do with the defense witnesses and not the defense. Nurmi is so done. Who knows maybe he is defiant and quit..:rotfl:
