I have a question, if you don't mind. I'm not following this trial/story at all. I really have no interest but I'm curious what makes this particular case so newsworthy/media hyped versus any other murder that (unfortunately) happens every day. :confused3

Juan puts back up ex 661, the photo of Travis smiling. Sounds like he is wrapping up his closing. #JodiArias

IMHO, Jodi Arias put herself into the media. She went on 48 Hours and local media and lied, lied, lied ... and once the rest of the media caught wind of some of the true facts in the case vs what she was telling everyone, they just ran with it.

Hallelujah!

Watching HLN, so I'm behind here. while Juan is talking Jodi seems to sitting there drawing again. Kinda like a kid putting their fingers in their ears going lalalalalalalalala! UGH!

This case had so much evidence against her. She took pictures of the killing in progress. So to speak. The pictures showed how long it took her from the time she started the killing to the next picture when she was done.

I imagine you'll get as many different reasons as you get responses to this question. For me, I became interested because I saw Jodi and Travis as people that I could easily know.
To imagine that someone who seemed so normal (obviously I know differently now) as her could do something so heinous/that someone I may have been friends with could end up murdered so brutally - it was hard to put my head around it. I think I've been watching the testimony in the hopes that something would be said that could explain it to me.
Truth be told, the Medical Examiner gave me motivation to KEEP watching after I realized how demented JA is. :rolleyes1 But her continued manipulation/attempts to manipulate throughout this whole process is something I wouldn't have believed had I not seen it myself. Now I'm captivated until I know that she gets her just punishment.
