Jodi Arias Trial Part 6, starting with JM Rebuttal April 16

Ya'll move fast. I've had to give up most of my watching, real life got in the way ;), but I try to read like a crazy woman when I have a few minutes....so, catching up :)

I've been following these threads but haven't posted yet...

Anyway, I'm not surprised at all at the way JA is acting today. It's exactly how I would expect someone with BPD to act. She's clearly doesn't like this woman and is trying to "show her" she doesn't care. It's a form of immaturity.

I also think there are some NERVOUS actions in there as well, since she knows what this woman is saying is true and I think she is trying to act like it isn't bothering her; but her actions are WAY over-exaggerated which is just showing even more that it IS bothering her...A LOT!

I have a close relative that is BPD and a sociopath and I can see so much of her in JA...it's kind of scary (esp since I was on her bad side for about a year [because something SHE did was of course MY fault], and kind of still am).
Welcome! Come on in , we have a refreshments menu a few pages back if you would like to order.

Okay is Jodi.....
1) coloring
2) doing a word find
3) Highlights picture find
4) crossword puzzle

Oy! Can't believe she's acting so disinterested. But I guess that speaks to the immaturity the witness is discussing.

I've thought all along that I thought Jodi was a "Cameleon". She changed her personality to match the person she was dating.

Have a good one!

Interesting, thanks for posting. What are the nervous actions she is doing? I am at work and just following along on the thread for updates>>

Welcome, and thanks for sharing. Good points about Arias' behavior.

DeMarte disagrees with Dr. Samuels diagnosis of PTSD for #JodiArias. The symptoms were not consistent with that diagnosis.

What are we waiting for? I am confused, is it the overhead projector warming up or some other technical issue?

It just seems to me like whatever she is doing (not sure if drawing or writing) she's doing it quite frantically...just from watching her all day, it really looks like a nervous kind of reaction.

ETA: Thanks for all the welcomes! :)

Welcome and I agree with this. It reminds me of a kid getting a spanking and smiling, "na na na, that didn't hurt" then runs to the room to cry. #justsayin :rotfl:

I had to listen while I was driving on hln and I have two questions:

* Did they say what the results of her intelligence test were?

* What was JA's reaction when the witness stated her diagnosis?

DeMarte reads from an email of #JodiArias. It shows her inappropriate and intense anger.
