Jodi Arias Trial Part 6, starting with JM Rebuttal April 16

Just some info I found about LWOP/Death Penalty. I wasn't even looking for Jodi Arias info...I was checking up on a NJ guy who was a high school teacher when he murdered (and other things :( ) an 8 yr old Brownie who went to his house to deliver cookies...they were neighbors. I was living in NJ at the time, and wanted to join the search but we couldn't get there (plus, they probably didn't want a bunch of high schoolers). After he was arrested, one of the teachers I had who knew him said how shocked she was because he was one of the nicest people she had ever met. I hope that JA's jurors can get past any "sweet" aspect of Jodi that may have come out (altho, I didn't see any). I hate when the defense does their song and dance about a defendant never having committed a crime before. Well, they got CAUGHT. Had they not? Who knows. I don't believe that the above mentioned guy (Joseph McGowan) and Jodi Arias would not kill again, given the chance.

Interesting about the LWOP. Thanks for sharing.

And thanks for the ribbon directions!

I certainly don't think they have seen any sweetness in Jodi.e The whole time she was testifying they saw her laughing and smiling and no remorse what so ever. And the fact that they also watch her during this trial and all her antics. And getting number 5 gone, I don't think so.

Love that everyone has a ribbon! Jodi will never have any redeeming value in my mind. Her act was so despicable that it will never be forgiven.

That was really good! Thank you for posting this. :thumbsup2 My hubby hasn't followed the trial at all and he just watched it too. :thumbsup2

As much as I've followed this, so much information gets thrown at us and this guy summed it all up in 16 minutes.

Was Darryl brewer her boyfriend? Didnt hear his testimony but my goodness he looks to be quite old!

Darryl was the guy she moved in with while in high school if I can remember. I think she was only like 15 or 16? Her parents didn't sound like they were very involved or they just didn't know what to do. I think it was a blessing in disguise she never had a child.

One other thing, does anyone ever listen to True Crime Radio on WS? I love it! Always gives a good perspective on what is going on.

The guy she moved in with while she was in HS was Matt McCartney I think. Darryl was the guy she met when they both worked at a resort and he was a service manager maybe? Interviewed her for a job as a server. Supposedly worked together for a year or so, but couldn't date (yeah, right, "date") because he was her boss. Then for some reason he stepped down to a server position and they could date. He was twice her age, divorced with a son. They bought a house together. She was living with him when she met Travis at the PPL event, and quickly cut off her "relationship" with Darryl (even tho they still lived together for a time, but had been having problems in their relationship).

As far as the jury and what they see in Jodi...who knows. I'm not going to get too caught up in making assumptions about what the jury MUST be seeing, just because of what WE see. We know so much more than they do (or we SHOULD, if they are behaving themselves with regard to getting outside info about Jodi or the case), and we have a split screen and shots of Jodi before and after the jury is actually there. I remember someone saying that IN the courtroom, JM doesn't come across as screaming...that what we are seeing on TV of him comes across differently in the courtroom. And altho we do ALL (including jurors) know that Jodi actually committed the crime, we don't really know how she's coming off in the courtroom to them. I seriously doubt that they know, or are holding against Jodi, anything about getting #5 gone. If they hold that against her, than I really fear for our justice system.

ETA: The fact that she's a female could very well work in her favor. Like everyone else, I hope not. But we who watched the CA trial wouldn't in a million years have thought she'd be ACQUITTED. I know...different trial, different case, Jodi admits (finally) to killing him. But at the risk of sounding like a broken record...all it takes is ONE juror. And #8 who was just bumped was a note-taker and asked a lot of questions. We really have no idea who these people are and what they're thinking.

I know. I agree. Only one is all it takes. I am PRAYING that will not happen.
I really think that video (mentioned earlier) should be shown. They should all 'GET IT' based on THAT video alone.

I loved how he put it all together.
I want Juan to do his closing like this...... That timeline with the map and turning off her cellphone as she entered Arizona and leaving it off till she left.
There is another one on you tube my husband found its listed under "Jodi Arias Pre meditation proven evidence" by Mikee Daniels. Its almost 40 minutes long but he explains it really good and he's funny.

I have the other one opened in a window to watch when I feel like I can bear to watch more of this. I'm actually watching a little of the HLN shows from Friday, but I FF through anything I don't want to hear...like stupid Seidlin and defense attorneys who think poor Jodes was a victim. I'll have to look for this one that you mention in this post and keep it for tomorrow. Thanks!

Oh I thought she moved in with bobby Juarez when she was a teen? Too many guys to keep track of!
