Oh no, I don't want y'alls temps. We could still have one of those cold snaps and get down to the 30's at night, I hate when our weather has these fluctuations, does a number on my back and other joints.

Waiting to see what this guy gets sentenced to today: Lomita chef David Viens convicted of second-degree murder for killing wife, cooking her remains

No worries! My friends and I are all in the medical field and our lunches are generally filled with pretty disgusting talk. We got some looks from other tables as we talked infected vagi nas and draining wounds and a few other things. Some good ole' fashioned cannibalistic cooking doesn't turn me off. (Seriously though, never even heard of that case!)

Typically no court on Fridays.

That protective order might be in reference to the court attendee who said she wants Jodi dead, to keep her from anywhere in the proximity of Arias.

And the chef's sentence:

LOS ANGELES - A chef who told police he cooked his wife's body for four days in boiling water was sentenced 15 years to life in prison for the murder.

Just saw the guest Katy Wick with a cute little laugh when the host of HLN Ryan Smith said more from Katy Wick later. Earlier reading from Websleuths, this woman was the "competition" to WS's katiecoolady for time on Dr Drew a few weeks back, they discussed it on WS quite a bit, which one was prettier and smarter etc. etc. Amazing how these folks are in on the trial and media coverage of it all. I wonder if there's a name for court room groupies?

I didn't read the thread about all that but based on what I read a few minutes ago from KatieCoolLady, she and the Dr. Drew's Juror Katie Wicke, are friends. I don't think there is any competition based on what I have read. In fact, today KCL said that she was sitting with Katie Wicke the day she was "discovered" by the media. I also don't believe KCL is a groupie. She has, dare I say, compassion(not the Dr. SCAMuels kind) for the family due to her sister being a murder victim similar to Travis Alexander. Her sister was murdered by her husband and BIL for life insurance money. They are currently on death row. She has become friends with Travis' family and even sits with the family at trial. She has been with Travis' sister at an event outside of court. As far as the other people, I don't know. I am sure there are groupies on both sides, I just don't think KCL is one. All this is IMHO. And this may sound groupie like and my husband says I am crazy but I have thought about flying out to Arizona for Spring Break to see if I could get in the courtroom. I figured he could take the kids to go do something fun while I sit the courtroom. I really want to see Juan Martinez and Detective Flores in person. Heck, I would even want to see Willie and Nurmi. Jodi would scare the carp out of me.

Ok, I posted this question on WS to the attorneys on the board but I doubt I would get a response since those threads move so fast.

If premeditation can happen in an instant and saying that JA's gunshot first story is correct(which I do not believe) couldn't it go from self defense with the gunshot to premeditation with the knife to finish him off? So that way her self defense story is useless due to the extreme circumstances to kill him instead of rendering him helpless so she could get away. I hope this makes sense.

I don't give groupie the connotation you seem to have, groupies, followers, interested persons all the same to me. And you can be anyone of those, not gonna make me think you're a terrible person.

My own preference at this point is I might rather see katie on air than this giggly bubbly Kathy Wicks who got quite a bit of airtime on HLN today, struck me as interesting knowing what I've read at WS.

And I wouldn't mind being in the court room to see the dynamics myself, but I'm way past trying to find a job or doing it for a slot on TV trying to build up a name. Hell, too many people know me now as it is.

Wow! I didn't realize all that went on. I just started reading over there a few weeks ago. I enjoy reading it but nothing is like this thread! I truly love all the people on this thread. I enjoy "talking" to everybody about this trial whether we agree or disagree. I think everybody here is a friendly bunch and I think we all get along well with each other.

Well, my excuse is I live out in the boonies with very little to do until a few weeks ago when my fruit trees started blooming and I accepted I have to get out on that 10 acres and start working it and I read fast so I've been reading at WS since the trial started.

Thank goodness we're only on the 3rd thread of this trial here, not sure I want even more reading and I ain't confessing to how many sites I read every day about this crazy trial.

And yes, I think we all get along here or at least I hope we do.
