Prosecutor Juan Martinez objected to the testimony because Samuels would have to define the differences between premeditated murder and heat-of-passion murder, and that could have confused the jury. At the end of the trial, the jury will be given strict legal definitions for premeditated murder and other lesser included crimes. Martinez said Thursday that Samuels can't be allowed to muddle the jury's understanding of these terms with his own definitions.

Martinez needs to focus on that or this will be a loss to the State.

So, a friend who knows I'm "a little" into this case sent me this info:

I was watching an old episode of Judge Judy last weekend and who do I see on there getting sued by his own daughter but Gus Searcy. Yes, one and the same, they had his career listed as 'Pre-paid legal assistant' it was from 2009.

Why am I not surprised that sleazy creep would be sued by his own daughter? I wish I had seen the show!
