Unbelieveable ... What a waste of time this morning ... I betcha that's why one of the defense attorney's had a "family emergency" on Friday and the hearing had to be postponed - because the DT had no intention of having the hearing at all! ...

The defense just withdrew the testimony of Dr. Samuels that they wanted to elicit about interpreting a crime scene. The State had objected and the judge set a hearing for 10:15 am Phoenix time. Jurors were told to come at 11 am/2:00 pm ET. Now, court is adjourned until then since a hearing is no longer necessary.

Hln keeps talking about the dr.'s testimony about parts of the brain. I vote we cut open Jodi's brain and check it out, case closed.

On a side note, let's see if this trial is still going on next month while I'm recovering from surgery. Yep, that's the route I'm taking on my neck. I have two discs poking into my spine and one pinching a nerve. My thumb constantly feels like someone took a hammer to it! When the surgeon mentioned that until I had this fixed I needed to avoid diving into waves and riding roller coasters, I piped up and asked for the first available surgery date! I'm not one to sit around and watch life pass me by! I knew it was coming as my Dad and both brothers have had similar issues. Guess we'll all have matching scars now!

Good luck with your surgery! I'm with you...much rather get it over with than worry and wait.

I have a slew of HLN shows recorded that I couldn't bring myself to watch, but did FF through a few today and watched certain parts. One was Dr Drew and he's got women (who are they?) who are in the courtroom each day, and one said that she heard from someone else who heard (LMAO...hearsay about hearsay about hearsay?!) Dr Samuels say that this case is going to be good for his next book, or some such thing. FWIW.

On HLN After Dark (Vinnie Politan's Show...not sure I got the name exactly right) tonight they've built a reproduction of the crime scene. Would love to watch EXCEPT their "guest" tonight is Jose Bozo, defending JA, and dear Lord, I don't think I can bring myself to watch.

So far, they've had Judge Brown...jerk, Judge Seidlan of Ana Nicole Smith hearing fame, and Bozo. Give me someone like Jeff Ashton or Judge Perry!

About Samuels...one of the things that he said that just seems to so conveniently fit into Jodi's defense is that Jodi was meek and had self-esteem issues when he met her...yada yada yada BS...but she's become a much stronger person, ohhhh, like, by the end of last year. Just before the trial. So, trying to wipe away that idea that she was ALWAYS an emotionally strong person...the type of person who can bark back at a prosecutor barking at her? Because I think watching her and how well she holds her own against JM, it looks like she's one tough cookie. But apparently she only got to that point a few months ago, RIGHT BEFORE trial.
