Jodi Arias Trial Part 3, STILL in redirect of Jodi, Mar 5

In her testimony, Jodi clearly stated she returned the gas can and got cash. Does anyone know how she paid for the gas can? Does Walmart do cash returns for credit or debit card purchases?

She paid with cash, but yes, I've gotten cash back when I've paid with a debit card. No matter how you pay, they have you sign a slip for the return (proof that there was a valid return, otherwise the cashier could just take cash out whenever) and they cross out the returned item on your original receipt so that it also shows you returned the item.

Oh ok.
I got the info on WS.
No guarantee of accuracy.

She did purchase two facial cleansers and the next two are just upc numbers. But you never know if that nail salon in Salinas maybe did a dye. Salons keep records of dye's as they refer to the formula.

Those are two Neutrogena Ultra-sheer 85 SPF sunblock sprays or tubes. Not dye.

Yep, sunscreen for Cancun or to prevent sunburn out in the desert while she got rid of evidence. IMO

You got that right, maybe she even said "look, Travis! I got sunscreen for you too!! I bet Mimi *gag* wouldn't be sweet enough to buy you sunscreen because nobody is as good a girlfriend as I am!"

OK thanks. I wasn't sure how she paid. Any store I've returned something to has always marked the receipt to indicate the item was returned. Some stores have made me sign a return receipt too. I don't know if Walmart one or if its just on purchases over a certain amount though. If they didn't mark the receipt, it'd be too easy for people to run scams.

Hello Again Everyone- sorry it has been several days since I wrote here but I think I was in a fog.. who knows it may be PTSD since it was very stressful NOT to have court room testimony at the end of the week and having to go so many days before seeing Mr. Juanderful rip apart this bogus expert!! ;)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I bet you are right! Gag is right.

Walmart always makes you sign a return receipt. In every case that I have returned they have circled the return item on the original receipt.

And let me bend over while you apply it!!!!!

Okay serious now. I believe in PTSD in the sense that our brains are able to shut out horrible things until we are able to understand and process them in a healthy manner. And that time may never come for some people. I think this happend to my mother when she lost a child at the age of 17 months. There is a lot that she does not remember from him being sick and I think her brain has protected her over the years.

I also think that Jodi has suffered from some type of PTSD. I'm sure that seeing the horror that she inflicted on Travis was hard for her brain to process. HOWEVER, and this is the big part in this trial, she went there with the intention of harming him in some way. She was tired of being his dirtly little secret and was not going to take it anymore. I feel that after a morning of sex, there was a conversation of her going to Cancun and not Mimi. I believe Travis told her that that was not going to happen and she finally snapped and went berserk on him. I don't think that Juanderful has stressed to the jury just the amount of strength and determination it takes for someone to slit a throat from ear to ear! This was an out and out attack on Travis! Not self defense.

Looking forward to next week. I really hope that Juanderful tears apart the "expert" witness. I can't believe that the judge has allowed the Time Magazine article. That's one step above quoting People Magazine as far as I'm concerned.

Oh, DH and I call Nurmi "Nummy".

On a side note, let's see if this trial is still going on next month while I'm recovering from surgery. Yep, that's the route I'm taking on my neck. I have two discs poking into my spine and one pinching a nerve. My thumb constantly feels like someone took a hammer to it! When the surgeon mentioned that until I had this fixed I needed to avoid diving into waves and riding roller coasters, I piped up and asked for the first available surgery date! I'm not one to sit around and watch life pass me by! I knew it was coming as my Dad and both brothers have had similar issues. Guess we'll all have matching scars now!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!

Did she ever say when she used the gas from the gas cans?

I should have said the ones she filled in CA and then refilled in Utah, when did she use the gas cans to fill her car up so she had to buy more in Utah?
Or why she needed to use that cans instead of just filling up at a station?

I think she filled up the car before Arizona . Don't know what happened to the gas cans. When leaving Travis' she filled the car and the gas cans in Salt Lake City.

I recall that she gave two reasons, one was she and Darryl learned how living in the desert was dangerous (for whatever that's worth) and she wanted to save money on gas because Utah gas was cheaper than CA gas, despite she filled the cans in CA before going to AZ and I don't recall if she ever said she used the gas she bought in SLC.

I hope this evidentiary hearing doesn't take forever tomorrow, let's get back to letting the jury hear the case and decide.
