Any reference to her being in jail and/or shackled is prejudicial, just the way it is, agree or disagree to your heart's content.

So can that be a basis for an appeal even though SHE'S the one who stated it? I would certainly hope not, but what do I know :confused3

I agree, but they don't want them to know she is in leg shackles. They did not know she was in jail.

How could they NOT know? If it was mentioned all the time, that wouldn't be good but nobody is sitting there thinking she's living life on the outside during this trial.

Know what, ya'll? I think she WANTED to get up and demonstrate. ::yes:: Just the way she kept stalling on describing it, saying she didn't know what he looked like. Then very quietly she says she couldn't really describe it without getting up to DEMONSTRATE, then says under her breath that she doesn't want to do that.

I think this was her goal all along. It breaks JM's mojo yet again, gives herself time to clear her head and think about what she'll say next.

She just doesn't get it, she keeps flapping her gums. She does not know enough to quit.

And once again, neither does the prosecutor. :dance3:

I'm seeing flashbacks:

I think so too. Plus can't they show where the blood splattered from the gun shot, or have I watched too much csi?

Let his sister be the line backer....

No kidding.

Our family went through 3 separate murder trials for the men that murdered my cousin. The families waiting outside the hallway normally go separate ways - one to the right, one to the left. It's awful. Awful. We only heard one outburst upon a sentencing "he doesn't deserve it!" from a sister. Thank the law for allowing victim impact statements at sentencing. His sisters will get their chance and it will help them enormously & emotionally.

Did JA purposely try to bait JM into asking her to stand up and show how TA was coming at her? ... She did say "if she could show how JA was coming at her" ... And then said "but she wouldn't want to do that" ... She is just so calculated, I don't trust her one bit ... Is she hoping for her "if it don't fit you must acquit" moment? ... Or is she hoping that by her having to stand up in court and re-enact this, it could lead to a mistrial and/or appeal? ... Hmmm ..

Listening to Vinny Politan and white teeth guy, they're debating if this is a good idea or not. If you were a jury member, what would you think of this? Personally, I would (and do) find it comical and don't think it will help her. I keep imagining she'll do a sumo wrestler type pose! But him getting into a lineback/bull type pose wouldn't be beneficial to him. If he's lunging at her, he's probably going body to body.

I was thinking the exact same thing as I was writing my last post ... :)
