Jodi Arias Trial Part 2, starting with JM cross of JA

I do believe that Jodi purchased a 9 mm. Same as the 25 caliber. I don't know much about guns. How ironic all 3 guns were the same.

What was his dog doing all those days before Travis was found? Was anyone feeding him? And didn't I read that the bedroom door was locked when the roommates tried to get in? I hope they bring that up.

His roommate's girlfriend was feeding him. Travis arranged for her to feed him while he was out of town. They thought he was already gone so she was feeding him. His bedroom door was locked and the gate was put up so the dog couldn't get up the stairs. And IIRC, the air conditioner had been turned down. Not sure about that last detail.

She can't remember allot of the murder, and yet this roommate is due home at 6:30 and locks the bedroom door?

Chiming in for a few. Missed the end of the questioning yesterday, heard nothing at all of the magazine deal. But here's my questions for the day.

Casey Anthony wasn't convicted because the lack of concrete evidence (or so one jury member stated), it was all circumstantial. Has Flores already been on the stand? What evidence do they have other than Jodi's partial palm print, her blood and her confession? I know those all seem like really great things, but perhaps some jury members want to see more.

Somebody stated earlier that depending on the angle of the bullet wound, it's possible that Jodi wanted to shoot him while he was in the shower to wash away evidence and he didn't die right away. Part of me wants to think that the stabbings weren't intentional, but if he didn't die, it would have been so much easier to point and shoot him until he stopped moving (also easier to use as an excuse of self defense), so based on that theory alone, I just don't think he was shot first. The gun would still be in her hand. Instead, she must have given some really quick stabs to the back, he spun around and started trying to wrestle the knife out of her hand (most likely when she was thrown down on the tile), he got defensive wounds, she got more stabs in...he stumbled out towards the door and she followed saying "Oh no Mr. Alexander!", slashed his throat at the beginning of the hallway, dragged him back to the shower where he was still barely alive and gave the final shot. (sorry for the run on sentence). During this time, I'm also inclined to believe that she had never dropped the camera and it was probably around her neck and bumped up against her to take random shots and when she bent over to drag his body, it was bumped again to take the shot of her leg.

I really hope that she cracks and just lays it all on the line, or maybe writes a tell all journal that will someday be made public. Wishful thinking, I know.

Where in the trial are we now? Where did JM leave off or where will he pick up on Monday?

The magazines came in as Jodi was trying to pass them to a friend in jail, they have a message in them. They were to be passed onto a guy named Matt. She wanted him to lie for her in another hearing in Aug 2011 for the child porn issue with Travis. The defense has filed for another motion today having to with the stay motion. If you look up Chronis hearing it is interesting reading. To me I look at as Jodi has confessed, but her team made her come in portraying her to be meak and timid and scared. But the issue did an about face when Jaun started to cross examine her. She made herself look like she could face down any man with out a problem. She was very cocky and arrogant and always laughing and smiling. I think her team knows they have nothing and this is there last chance effort to save her life.

Oh yes, she appeared very cocky sitting there. Her eyes challenged JM often and her refrain from answering questions and then her snide comment about "men like YOU". If I were Travis, I'd probably have been tempted to slap her many times.

Can you tell me why Jodi ended up at Travis' house the day of the murder? Her plan, his plan, surprise visit?

IMHO, Jodi was very jealous and possessive and couldn't let go. And the fact that she knew he was taking someone else to Cancun was to much for her to bear. I think she went there with the intention of killing him. I mean she got a rental car, way out of her way, borrowed gas cans, stole her grandparents gun. I think he might have been surprised by her showing up and just dealt with the issue at hand. I don't think he saw anything coming. Personally I think she did this with other men. I know the jury saw the two sides of Jodi. I wish I could really read Jodi's thoughts. I can only tell certain things by the way she acts. I am sure more is going to come out with Jaun that may shock us all.

I think she did this with the other men also. I think she had blackmail on every single man she had been with. Why would all her ex boyfriends always help her out and let her come over? Take Matt for instance, she broke up with him in 2001-2002. Why would he let her come stay the night 2 days before she killed Travis and then lie for her in the hearing about the porn?

Thanks! I was totally off with the timeline I was thinking of.

I don't know how to multi-quote so thanks everyone for your replies.

Hi Dee. To multi-quote, just hit the little button with the " marks that is next to the button that says quote. You can hit as many of those as you like and then at the end of the thread hit reply and all the posts you want to quote will be there :)

Did they ever explain how they found out about the magazines??

Not yet. At least I don't believe so. I was in and out on Thursday and missed some testimony and tried to catch reruns yesterday, but again, was in and out, but I think trial ended on Thursday before they got to that. I know she confirmed they were her magazines and that she was giving them to this Ann Campbell person who visited her in jail (former cell mate or at least former jail pal) and the procedure for doing that (via the guard(s)), but I don't think we've gotten to the juicy part of this yet.

I bet she is gonna say somebody else wrote the code. When she was reading it out loud, she would start off by saying, "It looks like..."

Another thought, maybe Matt McCathey did receive them and now he is going to testify against JA to save his own butt in the tampering investigation. That could be why Donovan, the BFF of Ann Campbell, ran out of the courtroom when the magazines were brought out. She thought they were never found out. Now they know, and they are in on the crime since they are the ones who passed the magazines onto MM.

Wonder if they can bring in (or if JM has already done this and it's lying in wait, he's a smart man) a handwriting expert to compare her journals to the writing in the mags??? Seems easy enough to compare those and find out if it's the same or not.

Any speculation as to why she had the gas cans? That one still puzzles me.

One speculation was she did not want to leave a trail of receipts to close to Travis's home. So she filled the cans in CA. On the stand she said she would buy gas somewhere else as CA gas was to costly. But she could get caught in a lie as she filled the cans in CA.

That's a good speculation.

From a few things I had heard, I was under the impression that Jodi wasn't like that with the other guys she dated (to that degree, was still clingy though). Travis had everything she wanted, the good job, nice house, took her traveling. She seemed to only latch onto him as he could support her. It was Ryan Burns that she saw afterward, right? I guess he was as well off as Travis and had the same type of position in the company with the ability to move up and succeed.

And could it be possible that Jodi could offer up some really good sex and use that as enticement for Matt and others to let her use them? Sometimes guys don't tend to think straight with the offer of sex on the table. Wasn't there some speculation that the reason Gus Searcy never called the cops or anybody when Jodi came to him was because he may have been paid off with favors? Or was that my own wild idea?

That is the premeditation. Her story 1.0 was that she was no where near Mesa on June 4. She also turned off her cell phone so it would not ping, has no cc receipts during this time, and no one, including Travis knew she was heading there. She drove 1000 miles for no reason, toward her abusive pedophile not-boyfriend after her grandparents gun was stolen.

Premeditation.
