Random thoughts after catching up on the some things I DVR'ed yesterday and then in watching Nancy Grace.

1. If youngster Jodi answered her parent's questions like she does Juan's, no wonder they "beat" her. If I had been her mother, I would have hit her with something more substantial than a wooden spoon for always giving me the word runaround that she likes to do. Geez-louise, answer the damn answer, Jodi!

2. Several of the pundits said last night that they don't know why the defense put Jodi on the stand and that she's only hurting her case by testifying. Personally, I think they had no choice. The only way she'd not get the death penalty is to claim defense. The problem is that she had told no one about the alleged abuse (friend, family, doctor, bishop, 911, police, etc.), and she had never written about it in her journal. Therefore, in order to claim self defense, she had no choice but to get up on the stand.

It irritated me so badly when Nurmi would call her Jodi in that soft voice, gentle manner, like he was addressing someone who had just lost a loved one.
