I really think the COA needs to investigate JSS

Wouldn't be up to the COA to investigate JSS. Would be up to the State's Judicial Committee.

In our state, some judges are elected. If a case like this dragged on and on the way it has, you can bet the people would not re-elect the judge overseeing the case.

Well, they showed her she was in the wrong for ordering everyone out of the room. And was ordered not to do that. But I would bet that they would find more things that she is giving a pass to Nurmi with and should not be.

Beth Karas says juror #3 gave an interview saying she had 2 dates in Jan that would conflict with her ability to serve, but Karas doubts that because when the other juror was excused for the same reason the judge stated it in court, no reason was given in court for this juror.

And juror #3 was excused on Dec 2, after her arrest so it's more likely that's why she was excused.
