Jodi Arias penalty phase retrial begins Monday, 9/29

Arias's attorney, Kirk Nurmi, just told the judge that Arias will not resume her testimony until the Court of Appeals issues its opinion about the closure order--the opinion will give the rationale for, and parameters of, their decision to vacate the closure order. The defense may appeal the issue to the Arizona Supreme Court, according to Nurmi.


Haven't we already heard Aria's testimony in both the guilt phase and the penalty phase? This is getting reallllly old.

There will be NO TRIAL in the Arias case this week. Jurors will return next Monday. The evidentiary hearing on deleted/modified files on Travis's computer will continue this Thursday, Dec. 11

I really do not understand what is going on! Trials are public. Non one gets to keep it secret. If they don't have defense witnesses, they too bad, the trial should continue without them. That is the defense's choice. Travis and his family deserve justice. Now.

They are going to lose that whole jury due to the time delays. Trial was supposed to be over dec 18. The judge does not seem to care. The whole porn thing is (well the parts I understand) irrelevant.

I guess that is an effective tactic. Jodi gets to victimize the Alexanders for a few more months.

You know the first trial was only like 4 1/2 months! i know it seemed longer.

I do think something is wrong with JSS.

Well the COA did let JSS know she was in the wrong, I think JSS is intimidated by Nurmi. She does need a back bone and say no. Problem was he was only mentioning Jodi as a secret witness and no one else. There are time when a witness can be a secret for good cause. But he is waiting to hear from the COA on the ruling. These poor jurors
