Jodi Arias Murder Trial

Where are the tears??? And wouldn't you think the defense would either not have the mom there or have them show more emotion?

She's saying that at age 17, her father's "abuse" had escalated to pushing her into furniture (during which one incident she was knocked out).

I'm pretty sure the mother is the one in black.
The one in blue is the twin sister.

I think they made this decision to take the stand over the weekend knowing they did not have much to go on. They are going to do what ever it takes just to spare her life. Beating or not , does not justify killing anyone. This is the most boldest move I have ever seen a defense take. Prosecutor is just waiting. Mom may be in the black.

She's going on about her art and how her parents weren't supportive and didn't show much, if any, interest in her creative pursuits. Other family members were more encouraging of her than her parents were.

I didn't know her mom had a twin. Lets let the jury hear she has all her doodles on ebay.

I think its her in black because she is the one that has been there everyday.

Good point , that were left no other choice and one of these geniuses came up with this hail Mary.

It may also bring in the phone call. But that may not end well. I wonder if the jury can ask questions to her?

She's saying other abuse happened as well. During one incident where she didn't answer her father satisfactorily to his questions, she was hit across the face multiple times (open-handed). She's talking about her father bench-pressing 500+ pounds and that he was a very intimidating man.

I think ya'll are right about the Mom being in black.

Parents take note...encourage your children's art. :confused3

So, she was an obnoxious, defiant, disrespectful brat and got smacked. Well, there ya go! A defense! ?

Cannot wait until the prosecutor gets a hold of her.

She is now like 33, she remembers it all so vividly too.
Like it happened yesterday. LOL

Oh wait it probably did, in her head!!!!!

How many on the jury would have slapped their child or used a spoon on there child. That does not mean she was beat. She is making herself out to be a defiant child. The aunt looks like she wants to have that spoon right about now.

After much talk about art, now she's talking about being a high-school dropout - she never graduated. She was living with her boyfriend at the time she dropped out. She left home because she was tired of the "discipline" from her parents. She was being grounded by her parents "until she was 18" for skipping 1 class (she was 3 months away from turning 18 at the time).

We won't hear Martinez today, the way this trail is so slow moving the defense may keep her all week.
