When I went back to work after 17 years at home I went to a temp agency. It was a good way for me to get used to working full-time again. I worked several temp only positions before I started working temp-to-perm positions. Some I did not like and some did not like me. It was a good way to prove myself as an employee before being hired. I have been with my current compsny for over 3 years as a permanant employee. The only way to get hired where I work is through a temp agency and they are not the only company that hires this way. If you haven't tried it you may want to give it a try for a while. Some also offer training to update your skills.

looks like cute stuff, tried to find consultant in my area (never heard of this company) and the site just took info, maybe.

I would buy stuff, price is right and bags are cute. I would have to touch it first to see quality though.

The only problem with companies like that is that their products are not consummable like makeup or food. Meaning, you may buy once but how many purses do you "need"? Have you tried temp agencies? Good luck, my friend was laid off with me 2 years ago. I pounded the pavement and looked for work right away. She decided to take her two years of unemployment and not look for a job so she can stay home with her kids. She is now having trouble getting back in the workforce due to her gap in employment. I tried to get her a job where I work and their first question was about her gap in employment. They wouldn't even interview her. You say your background is in legal secretary. A lot changes in 11+ years. Maybe you can take refresher courses so they can see you kept up with the times?? Good luck.

I wouldn't buy that stuff ever. And nothing kills a friendship, imo, like people trying to sell you stuff in MLM schemes. I know lots of people who have gotten sucked into them, but nobody IRL who's done well. I have known people who have pretended to do well for a time.

That's exactly how I feel. I used to dread the invitations and attend and feel like I "had" to buy something useless. Now I simply ignore them all, no matter who they come from.
