OK, so I am working for an online brokerage firm at the moment, and we are always debating what our future holds there. I was miserable earlier this year, but things have gotten better, just not our pay LOL... Well, everyone around us seems to be in a rush to leave..
Anyway, I posted my resume on Monster, and have not gotten any calls until today... I received a call from AIG for a senior position in their fusion (whatever that is) department, on their brokerage side... The HR rep explained a little bit about the job.. I told him I wanted to look something over before deciding to go for an interview their... He understood, gave me his number to call him back and the website to look at their job listings....
A lot of things are going through my mind right now.. I am sure the pay is a lot better than I am making now.. However, I have no stress where I am currently, plus the commute is ideal... If I interviewed and took the position, I would be driving 30 minutes (24 miles) on a nasty highway, which isn't pleasant when snow or rain comes through... But, I am sure it would be more pay... I don't want to rush a decision and run there real quick... But I do not want to lose out on what could be a great opportunity...
Well, I called the HR rep back and scheduled an interview for this Wednesday. Please wish me luck and send pixie dust my way.
