Job Hiring and CP

Does Disney typically use the College Program to hire? Does it make it harder to get a job with them later on if you've never done it?

Nope. Disney has casting calls down in Disney, and there is a casting center down in Disney for people who want to work in Disney.

Not on the CP.
He now works the Buzz Lightyear Ride..

If you do well on your CP, it makes it very easy to stay with the company, because, as long as your record card is clean (attendance, safety issues), it's considered an internal transfer if you want to go FT, or change locations, or both ... thus only 1 form to fill out.

Disney is very big on hiring "from the inside" because they already know about you and what your strengths and weaknesses are. Doing the CP you'll already be in the system and also have the opportunity to shadow and meet people in the departments you're interested in so that will help them keep you in mind too (both on being known by the higher ups as well as being seen as someone with initiative)
