Was putting some things in my cart at about 11:30 last night and POOF! The site went down. I really wanted to buy the Cruicut machine at midnight for $59.99, which the email I received I could do at 12:01 am. But, the site is still down! I will never be able to fight the crowds at 6 am to get one. Why does this always happen with Joann's site?

This reminds me of last year when it crashed majorly and there was a lot of negative comments made.

Finally got on at 2:45 am and got my Cricut and some additional cartridges! Went to bed at 3 am, got up at 4 am and went shopping. Home at 9 am, getting most of the Doorbuster deals we wanted at JC Penney and Sears. Also got my free tote at Sephora! I need a nap, for sure.

blondietink, glad you were able to get on...I fell asleep while waiting, then when I woke up, the Cricuts were gone. So, I'm thinking about heading to the store tomorrow, because I think the ad said they would have a sale tomorrow morning. I didn't get a Joanne ad in yesterday's paper, does anyone know if they have the Cricut 69.99 tomorrow too?

Yes, I got a flyer when I was at Joann's on Wednesday that said the sale was Friday and Saturday at the stores, but I would image that they are probably gone by now, too. But, it would be worth a try for $59.99. What a bargain!

Michaels was selling them for $59.99 yesterday afternoon in store. Not sure if that was a Thrusday only price or a 3day sale but you could call there and see. They were advertised $69.99 but I guess were matching Jo-ann's price and price cutting Meijer (who advertised them at $83.xx but rang up $69.99).

I didn't even bother this year with trying the site. Last year for almost the entire month it was up and down! So irritating!

LOL---we were at Joanns for a 6am opening on black friday- we got there about 550 and there was a sole person sitting in front of the store with a blanket....we talked to her and she said she got there at 3am to "beat the crowd" because she wanted to get a Cruicut machine for her 10 year old for christmas...we had a laugh with her about the
beating the crowds" thing because when the doors opened at 6 there we were...that lady, me and my daughter and one other person LOL...and the first lady was the only one there for that machine!

That would never happen around here. We have to fight the Canadian shoppers that come over the border by the bus loads. Combined with the regular US shoppers, it makes for huge lines everywhere. While I love that they spend their money here and help our economy, sometimes it is a pain.
