Has anyone seen the most recent video?

I always look forward to these videos since he started doing them.

I heard it on the way to work this morning.

I could NEVER do that to my kids, but I have to admit that it's funny.

I loved the kid who complained about how hard he had worked for that candy. Poor kid-- he spends hours on his feet walking door to door, and someone else eats the results of all his hard work?

I always think you can easily tell who the good parents are by how their kids react..
I don't think that is necessarily true unless you are comparing a child who is older (like I'd say upper elementary) because not all kids handle jokes well, and are expecting their parents to be truthful and if some kids aren't allowed to have sugar unless it's on halloween and having parents joke that they ate everything is upsetting. Especially when parents pull the "you need to ask before you take something that doesn't belong to you. Sharing is caring." Yet do the adults pulled that on them and then said it was a joke, not all kids can recover fast from a joke like that.

I think it's mean, just like filming kids after having their wisdom teeth pulled out while they are on medication. Fair play would be the kid filming the adult reacting to something that will embarrass them. Anyway, they showed some clips on TV a few minutes ago and I have got to say that one of them was one of the cutest I have ever seen. The parent told the kid she ate the kid's candy. The kid said, "I'm not mad." Then said, "I'm not happy, but I still love you."

What a kid! It made me smile.

There's only a few of the videos that are actually funny, most are just cruel immature parents who obviously get their kicks from upsetting their kids.
It was way funnier (and spontaneous) the first year. Honestly, I just can't help laughing at "Oh You Sneaky Mom"

Since I guess they've seen fit to make this some sort of tradition, I wish they had a prize for the "best" one. That little sweetheart deserves something special. :lovestruc

Any parent who has a kid hit them because of this is doing something wrong. And, before it's pointed out, yes..the kid could have some disability..but I believe they are also taught the basics like don't lie, don't steal, don't hit..

I doubt it. I have 3 kids and they likely would have all reacted quite differently. Just like they all responded differently when we told them about Santa.

Dd13 was so upset she wasn't getting any drugs when she had a wisdom tooth removed. She wanted me to take a video.

I think it really depends on the child. I would do it to mine because I know they would recover quickly and be like "You got me!"

But I would never do it to my neices. Calming them down would be next to impossible and they would stay upset forver!

I find them funny but it does break my heart a little bit. Poor babies. My kids would know something was up especially if I was taping their reaction. I wouldn't want to deal with the aftermath of trying to calm them back down after saying "just kidding." They would not be happy with me.
