This program is on right now. It's so inspiring!

I admire Mr. Carter so much. He is truly a statesman--something we are sorely lacking in our times.

Check this program out. It's very uplifting.

According to the program, Mr. Carter often gives a Sunday sermon at a church in Plains, then joins the congregation for the rest of the service.

Afterward outside the church, he'll pose for pictures with anyone who asks.

Those lucky people! I would love to meet him in person.

I have a friend that was taught in Sunday School (many years ago) by Rosalynn Carter when she was a child and they have been friends of her family for quite a long time. She took us to church with her one Sunday to meet him and it was quite an honor. He and Rosalynn do in fact take pictures with anyone who wants to do so after church which we did as well. They are such nice, friendly people. I can't imagine how long it takes him to take pictures with everyone as the church was PACKED that Sunday and my friend says it's the same each week. I know that he no longer attends the church that we met him at but another church in the area. Before the service my friend was showing us some of the things (like a beautiful nativity scene) the church had received from dignitaries all over the world. Quite an experience to have if you are ever in Plains.

I watched most of that too, JJ - Made me want to go to Plains. I've read a couple of his books - He's such an amazing, Spiritual Man.... I really admire how he Lives his Faith.....
