Jimmy Buffett....who scored tickets??

I'd love to see Jimmy Buffett in concert this year. :goodvibes I'm going to check on tickets right now!! Thanks!! :)

not me. I'm going to try again in a week when credit card rejections start coming back. One way or another I'll be going to Camden.

I didn't have any luck. I was trying for either one of the Boston shows, but Ticketmaster doesn't have any available tickets. :sad2:

I checked for tickets to the show at Mohegan in Connecticut, but the only ones available were way up in the upper level and at $251.00 a ticket, I'm not sure I want to do that.

Oh my gosh...$251 a ticket for the upper level? I was complaining about $125 ticket prices here. Ours is in an outdoor ampitheatre, and the prices were $125 if you have a seat, or $35 for general admission/lawn. Didn't matter if the seat was front row or the very last row, they were the same price. Fortunately we got decent seats.

Wonder why he's so darn expensive this year? Seems like we paid $65 or $70 last year.

We paid $90 per ticket and they are in the nose bleed section.

I couldn't believe the $250 for Mohegan Sun, that's $500 for a couple...
CRAZY!

This will be my first time seeing him, excited its a Sat!

He's really turned into what he used to despise hasn't he? (rich guy exploiting the less rich but eager to spend).

His concerts used to be great, I remember the 'Concert By The Bay" well but his ability is dropping (hard time staying on Key) and unless he's made up with Fingers there is just something palpable missing from his shows now, IMO.

Come on Jimmy, a few more concerts at a little lower price won't hurt your bottom line a bit!

I was able to get 2 tickets to the Sat Aug 12 Boston show

LUCKY!! We used to go twice every time he was at Great Woods, when we lived there. I'm still calling it Great Woods, no matter what they say!!

Have a great time!

More than likely he doesn't have much control over most of the ticket price. It's probably where he plays that controls most of it. I'm sure he gets a pretty penny, they pay him, then the rest trickles downhill. They know people will pay high prices.
It's too bad too, because these arenas and stadiums make a fortune when he plays. My DH works for a concessions group that does the food & beverage at some of the places he plays. They always have the highest beverage sales when he's there. HUGE $$$.

My sister has 8 tickets to the Thursday show at Tweeter so DH and I are going with her and her fiance.....they are getting married on 8/13 so this is the beginning of their wedding celebration weekend :)

I need tickets for Camden. Help!

No luck for our venue or the 3 states surrounding. :guilty:

Guess I'll keep checking back and also see what they resellers want.

To see a 63 year old sing? :sad2: I don't think so!

That's $251.00, plus ticket charges!! I mean, I really, really like Jimmy Buffett, but that's pretty steep. Maybe if he was playing live in my living room, but this venue is not an intimate setting.

 I don't think I am going to recover from the sticker shock I just experienced looking up the prices for these tickets!!!

I remember seeing him in 1990 at the minor league baseball stadium in Chattanooga and the tickets were like $20. I love Jimmy but I will have to pass on this one and be happy with my CD's and an occassional trip to Margaritaville.
