Jiminy Cricket

Has anyone seen Jiminy in the parks lately? Last year, we were advised to ask the CM's at Epcot WS in Italy. We were told he comes out around 2 every day. We waited, but no luck. Any other locations where he might be?

My wife is a huge JC fan. In the 21 times she has been to Disney, we have only seen JC once. We were told the only time he comes out is around Earth Day. That was the weekend we saw him. He was at Epcot near the fountain.

I also noticed the characters don't seem to meet by the entrance in the Crossroads area. Wonder if it's official that they aren't there anymore?? In fact, last week the "face" rotation of characters never showed up at all! Only common "fur" characters by the Big Hat every day - how disappointing!

Jiminy is one of those characters who make surprise appearances here and there, then seems to disappear for months! We personally only seen him once, on the Epcot Holiday Bus, and that was tied somehow to the Flower and Garden Festival. He is a rare one, no doubt!!!!!!!!

Crossroads is the name of the big area right after you enter Disney-MGM Studios, after going through the turnstiles. There is a courtyard area there and a bunch of stores. Characters used to meet there but I am not sure if that has been changed.

We were at MGM 2 or 3 times last summer and I do not remember any special gathering of characters there. I will pay more attention next time.

Saw him May 2004, EPCOT outside the Mission to Mars building with a few other characters.

September 04 we saw him in Italy (I think) and 2 different days on the character bus at EPCOT. DS was really disappointed he wasn't along that trip.

in 22 yrs i have only seen him once in that was in epcot about 3 yrs ago around labor day

I have seen him twice on the character caravan(bus) in Epcot. ONce in Oct. 2004 and Nov. 2003. He is one of my favorites.

july 2004 he was in italy,we were first into WS and saw loads of unusual characters in each of the countries.

I saw Jiminy Cricket at DisneySea in Tokyo in October. I had never seen that character before -- the costume looked fantastic. I wanted to tackle him and that big green head of his. I also saw Tinkerbell, and I could have sworn they never put her out because of "size" and "speaking" issues with the kids. I've also seen her in a parade at Disneyland in Anaheim. Still, there she was, a girl in a blond wig with sparkling wings. But I'd rather have that Cricket's head!

Have seen him twice at Epcot. Both times in early December. Once in the Leave a Legacy area and the other was the characters on holiday.

When we were at MGM last year, this was THE place to meet charectors. They were there on both morning we were there upon opening. 3 times mid day and once closer to closing time. We saw Hercules and friends, Jafar, Cindy, Snow White & Dopey, Belle, Jasmine & Alladin, Mulan, Tweedledee & dum, Minnie, Cruella, and the Evil Queen. This was in offseason in Sept.

I've never seen him in the 9 trips I have made....maybe we can see him in 12 days...
