Jilian & BT's VR 3/24/12 Crescent Terr/Il Mulino - Last of the Randy Chapman pics up!

I love your fans. I hope mine come out as good as yours. It definitely is a lot of work to hand cut them.

Love the banner and the fans!! Good Job! :goodvibes

If you are this crafty with these types of things, you could add door hangers to your welcome bags? We are puting them in ours and got them off etsy, but sounds like you could make yours yourself! One side of ours says "Do Not Disturb we are getting ready for J&T's Wedding" then the other side says "Do Not Disturb, We are recoverign from J&T's Wedding" :)

I'm a chocoholic, so I support chocolate, but likely any munchy food would go over well!

Those are awesome!! Good Job! :)
Thanks :goodvibes

All your DIY projects look great. Can't wait to see it all pulled together in a couple of months.
Thank you. It feels so weird to hear someone say that it is only a couple of months away, it seems like it has taken forever to get here!

Some other things to add would be individual packets of headache medicine, tissue packets, and maybe non-melty candy like skittles or something. I also put in some individual packets of wipes and then some toys/coloring books if the family had kids
Good call on the medicine and other items. I think there is a Disigner that does coloring pages so I'm gonna check with her.

Jilian sweetie - The fans and the banner look wonderful!!! Oh the cleverness of you!!!
Thanks! How is the nifty 50 fiesta planning going?

Jilian- you are a DIY machine! I love the signs and the fans-- everything looks great!
I feel like a DIY machine lately, it has been lots of fun. I don't know what I'll do with myself when the VR is done.

I love your fans. I hope mine come out as good as yours. It definitely is a lot of work to hand cut them.
Thanks. How are yours coming out? They are a labor of love! :rotfl:

Jilian, love the DIYs!! They turned out beautifully!
Thanks! :goodvibes

Great minds think alike, I just finished cutting out my last door hanger. I cheated and had Marion from the Disign forum do mine. Here they are:

Yours sound really cute, do you have a picture?

I love chocolate too but I'm afraid that if I buy some for the welcome bags that it won't actually make it into the welcome bags. Then my dress won't fit. I need to buy snacks that I hate or wait until a few days before we leave.

I'm really excited and had to share: Karen e-mailed me today to tell me that the Swan has given me one of the hospitality suites to get ready in! They had to wait to make sure no one else booked it but today I got the green light. I'm starting to think that maybe DH and I will get ready in there together while our parents watch the kids. Then we can have lunch together and maybe a glass of wine and wait for Randy to arrive so we can do the pre-ceremony pics. I was going to wait and do a first look but I'd rather have him there to hang out with and help me get ready. He's great at making me laugh so I forget that I'm nervous.

I forget if I've mentioned that DH's mom also booked at CBR with us. Now everyone is staying at CBR with us so we get to spend time with all of our friends and family. I'm happy they all decided to join us.

Great news on the hospitality suite! I really love the idea of you two getting ready in there together. A great chance to have some one on one time before the days events get started. I bet it will be really memorable.

Oh and you could still do the first glance photos. No one has to know you've already seen each other! And you could even plan your facial expressions. Like really exaggerated surprised looks haha!

I love all of your DIY projects! And congrats on the hospitality suite. And $120 for AKL is a fantastic deal. You'll love it.

H was on board with getting ready together so it sounds like a plan.

I have to say that a while back I mentioned that Karen was taking a long time to get back to me and I was worried that it was because she took the new position and was too busy. That wasn't the case. The florist was the one taking a while because she had to contact vendors outside of the country and that was the hold up. Karen has been just as responsive as ever and she's working on getting my completed contract out to me soon so I can make my final payment and she can do a wedding day agenda. :) I can't say enough great things about her, she has been so great to work with and Just Marry has certainly exceeded my expectations so far. I can't wait to meet my planning team in person!

I was contacted by a Dis member this week asking if she could feature some of my DIYs on her blog! So I'm working on getting good pictures and writing up instructions to share. How cool that Dis brides do blogs like this to share info with other brides. I'm more than happy to pay it forward because I've gotten so much inspiration from everyone on here and I'm honored to be able to help others.

Woohoo for the suite! That's awesome! :cool1:

I  Karen and JM! They are so awesome!

And, how cool!! I can't wait to see your DIYs on a blog! Let us know when the entry is up!

Hooray for the suite that is pretty awesome

I love the idea of you two getting ready together

Jilian sweetie
Great news about the hospitality suite!! I must say, we considered it (particularly since it was included in the price of the package), but since we had a 2 bedroom villa at BLT, and so had tons of room, and because we really wanted 'first look' photos done at BLT, we decided against it.
Congratulations on being selected for the blog - well deserved!!

Nifty Fifty planning is in the very early stages, but we know we will be taking a 7 day cruise on the Fantasy as part of it!!! Can't wait - it will be my very first Disney cruise!!!

I LIKE ALL UR DIY PROJECTS!! I might have 2 still the mickey head banner idea :rolleyes1 i think that will b so much fun 4 u & ur hubby 2 get ready 2gether.. i think it will relieve some of the pressure 4 the day.. Everything sounds great so far :thumbsup2 ... it is getting CLOSER!!! :yay:

55 more days to go  My 4 year old son kept asking how many more days and I could tell he was having trouble understanding with 57 days meant so we made this:

I think he gets it now and it is keeping me motivated to finish up my projects. I've finished the welcome letter and a letter with Disney theme park tips. Welcome bags are pretty much done, I just have to print the letters and put them in. We'll wait to add the bottled waters until we get there so they don't take up too much space. I've spend less than $50 on 16 welcome bags! :woohoo: This totally means that I'll spend the rest of the budgeted money on a mani/pedi before we leave. Here is what made it into the welcome bags: Door hanger, hidden Mickey flyer, pack of gum, hersheys bars, resse's cups, chips ahoy cookie packs, welcome letter, theme park tips, B&BW hand sanitizers (scored during their huge summer sale for dirt cheap), "we're celebrating" pins & bottled waters. I scored all of the snacks on sale B1G1 at Publix this week and last week. Bags came from the dollar store and they were 2/$1. I wanted to keep them simple and I'm pretty happy with them.

I'm STILL waiting to hear back from Randy on whether or not we can shoot at the GF. I sent a reminder e-mail to him early in the week. I'm gonna wait another week and then call him. I'm getting nervous. I've heard that he is busy and bad with e-mail so I'm not too surprised.

I'm also waiting to hear back from my violinist on whether or not her guitarist can play Married Life from UP. I REALLY want it for after the ceremony so I even sent the guitar tab on over with a YouTube video. I'm a dork. If he can't play it I have no idea what we'll use.

We finally have a final count and it is 41. We invited about 58 people so the count is pretty good. This also means that we can put the chairs up on the platform @ Crescent Terrace and that makes me happy. I feel like it helps to fill the space better so we won't look so lost up there. Karen said 40 would be the most that would fit and since 3 of us won't need chairs (H, me & our Pastor) that makes 38 seats.

That is about all for now! Thanks for following along. :thumbsup2

Your countdown looks so cute! How fun!
Great that you can fit all the chairs the way you wanted and your guest count is finally final! I'm sure that's a relief! :goodvibes
The welcome bags sound great too and seems like you got some good deals!!

Hopefully you hear back from Randy soon and the guitarist can play the song you want! :wizard:

That countdown is awesome! And, you can reuse it for future vacations . . . :rolleyes1

Jilian, I love the countdown calendar! It's just like one our son and I made for our first Disney trip when he was only 5 ... and he turned 19 two weeks ago (snif! Where does the time go??). ;) I'm so excited for you that you're less than 2 months out!

Your countdown is adorable!!

I hope you hear back from Randy soon!

 I sent a YouTube video to my planner to send to my violinist to see if she could play "Married Life" too!! We are using it for our exit as Mr. and Mrs.! Turns out she could! :woohoo: I hope your musicians can play it too!

Wow! Your guestcount is great!

Your countdown is ADORABLE!!!! I would do something like that too. And good luck with just waiting to hear back from people... I hate anticipation.
