Great news: My mom is being released from the hospital today! Hopefully in 3-6 months she'll have healed enough for them to try to repair her colon again.

More good news: I finished the invitations! They are all stamped and addressed and ready to go to the post office later today. I made a few minor changes, here they are:

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with how the invites turned out too, I feel like I've been working on them forever. I just dropped them off at the PO this afternoon. I can't believe we're close enough to be sending out invites.

Thanks! I'm feeling anxious now that the invites are out, I hope they don't get put aside with the holidays and forgotten about. I gave 2 mos to RSVP but I'm hoping the RSVPs start coming in sooner than that. I sent an invite to Mickey and Minnie yesterday, fingers crossed they send me a picture! I'm not sure if that is just a DFTW thing or not but I figured it was worth a shot.

So I've been haning out over on the Disign board a little bit and OMG! Those people are seriously talented! Marion designed me some beautiful monograms and door hangers! If you haven't been over to that forum, go there right now! They design for free, and they do amazing work. Here is what she's made for me:

The door hangers will go in the welcome bags, the castle and mouse pictures will be used to decorate our room window at the resort and the monogram will be for the Mickey head fans I'm working on.

In other news, I ended up exchanging my blue shoes for a pair of pink shoes. I found matching shoes for my daughter and that was the deciding factor. DSW shoe store is awesome BTW. I bought those blue shoes like 5 mos ago and saved the receipt and they still let me exchange them. I ended up getting a pair that were on clearance with a matching purse (score!) and they still gave me $.05 back. So yay for DSW, they are my new fave shoe store.

I've started trying to organize now too. I bought a big rubbermade box to store the ceremony decorations in. I'm trying to sort it and keep everything together. The flower urns are a hot mess. I'm so over them right now. I asked H to help make them look presentable but really they just suck. But do I want to spend $600 to get real flowers for them? Ughh. I might start shopping around for real flower assortments or I might just go with palms or something.

I think that is about all for now. I'm gonna get back to working on my mickey head fans!

well that is very very exciting! I love all the disigns I am going to go over there to get door hangers designed for me and I like what you are doing with the window thing too.

I think the only thing I would get made is door hangers and maybe get a monogram or logo made to use on confetti i might make myself.

I'm pretty sure these urns are gonna be the death of me. They look like a disaster right now. I think I'm gonna take a break from them for a while and hope they magically fix themselves!

I did a trial of the Mickey head fans and here is how they came out:

I don't have a cricut so I had to cut them out myself from a template that another dis bride sent me a while back. It is a good thing I still have 3 mos left because this is gonna take a while!

Jilian sweetie - Loving the Disigns!!! The girls on those boards are real darlings aren't they? The little M & M graphic is the same one I use for my logo!! Great minds think alike eh!!! The fans came out great. Keep plodding on with the urns as I am sure you will win in the end!!! You have far more patience than me as I cheated and got my florist to do mine!!!

So I've oficially given up on the urns of torment. I emailed Karen today about floral arrangements on pedestals. Has anyone seen the movie "Office space"? Remember the scene where they assault the fax machine? That is how I'm feeling about those stupid urns right about now!

Sorry to hear about the urns!! At least the floral arrangements are reasonably priced-- $80 isn't bad.. especially in the face of those urns!

So here is a little backstory: Since the VR is costing quite a bit and we have 3 kids, my H and I have decided not to get each other anything for Christmas. Then the other day my H was talking about how cool it was that the Harry Potter box set it out on blu ray. So I pretended I was going food shopping and went to buy it for him instead. He was so happy and said he wanted to surprise me with something but wanted to make sure it was something I really wanted. So I said new makeup! Then he told me to take my sister and make a day trip out of it

So this weekend I'm taking my sister to MAC so we can both have a makeup session and buy some new stuff. She's newly single and I thought she'd like to look fabulous. She did the same thing for me when I was newly divorced all those years ago. I'm really exicted to get some great new makeup!! Does anyone else love MAC? Any must-haves I should know about?
