We have adrs included in our extensive dining list next week (whoooohooo)

We will be on d ddp -however I only want children's meals.
Ordinarily; we would pay for my meal separately (with cash)
Utilise credits and pay tip or any extras as cash.

I don't want the costs to the room-
Would it be possible to buy & use a gift card for these extra payments?
I realise it would be a total waste of credits for me-but is that what we would have to do?

Btw-is it correct gratuity is still allowed as cash?

As far as I know gift cards are good about anywhere where they have a scanning machine. I really don't know about the tipping thou exceot for cash for balloons and mousekeeping tips I don't carry cash there anymore.

I'm not aware of any restaurant on Disney grounds that won't take gift cards.
The one trip when we used the DDP, we paid for the extras and tip on our credit card. Paying with cash should not be a problem.
Did I understand it correctly that both of you will have the D DDP and you plan to order off the childrens menu? I would order off the regular menu and just not eat all of it instead of what seems to be wasting credits. Unless your food preferences are on the childrens menu.

Yes-that's correct we have d ddp.
My food preferences are guided by medical issues & my own selective choices.:rolleyes1

Thats unfortunate. Hopefully you can something better than chicken nuggets on the childrens menus.

I don't know if I'd go to either just to order off the children's menus. Seems kinda like a waste.

I'm going for the ambience and the company.
The food is secondary to me.

Incidentally; I thoroughly enjoyed my children's meals in the afore mentioned restaurants previously.

If you want to try to save those dining credits...you could save your dining credits by paying OOP for your meal choice, and then your companion can use 2 credits at a signature for a fancier meal, meanwhile you can still pay OOP for your "child's menu choice" of food. You can use gift cards for paying for meals, or use a CC.
