We are currently staying at AKL Jambo and I walked by Jiko on my way to the Mara and they are currently working on the floors of Jiko. Looked like they were sanding and refinishing them.

Woohoo! Great news. Thanks so much for sharing. I heard from someone a few weeks ago that they saw some CMs in the Boma kitchens too. Fingers crossed that both can reopen with the hotel side

Asked a CM at the front desk here at Jambo when I checked in and he said Boma was opening when the resort reopens in August with Jiko set to follow. Looks like they are working in Zawadi, as well.

Not as good as getting the info from a bus driver but seems like Jambo is coming back to life!

I've been looking everyday for a Sept 11 dinner at Jiko hoping it might magically appear in the app. With the resort opening at the end of August, we are hoping it might be available. We have booked at Il Mulino at the Swan while we hope for some pixie dust!
